Nah, it was the Illuminati. 
Just because some company co-opts a commonly used term and applies it to a proprietary product does not change the meaning of the common term. It DOES introduce a fair old bit of confusion, though. Racer is pretty confused, but I somehow don't think that's a great feat.

I'm just not going to get into this immature behavior. I know sometimes people have to save face when their proved wrong; often this is what some of the younger generation is being taught nowadays instead of just admitting that you might possibly be wrong. I've been growing too long to let some young whippersnapper get the best of me and make me upset. I hate mentioning credentials, but did I mention I have a degree in molecular biology with a graduate degree in chemistry? Should that matter, no, but I think it helps to understand a lot of things in growing.
I know what people call DWC, and I know what people call bubbleponics. I was on OG for a long time, and I never heard anyone mention DWC as bubbleponics, so I'm not sure exactly who calls it that (maybe its a regional or country thing?... don't know) Anyways, look up bubbleponics on here and see how often it refers to: 1.) strictly DWC, and 2.) how often it refers to a DWC system with drip lines. Well here, I'll just search for bubbleponics and I'll take 5 links with bubbleponics in their subject line and let the folks decide for themselves.

If you are starting from seed then it is good to start four

the plants seem like they are are only getting taller. they are stretching like crazy. all except one. my 2 airstones arent creating as many bubbles as i would've hoped, I might have to go pick up another one. its been 4 days now; when should i start adding some nutes? I'm gonna veg with Ionic Grow, and I also have some Thrive Alive B-1, but I'm not sure how much of either to use.

dont know if i am in the right blog here, but i've got 4 week to two week old plants in a DWC system. The leaves look healthy but the stems seem REALLY weak like they can't even hold up the leaves. What am i doing wrong!!! I used only water for the first week than i added 1/4 the recommended nutrient additive to the water. Do you have a fan blowing on your plants? You can always stake them up if need be. Also make sure you nutrient solution is properly aerated. Have and pictures?
The stretching might be a result of a poorly aerated nutrient solution if you have adequate lighting. You should be able to safely add Ionic Grow at 700 ppm after about the third set of true leaves, you can dial it up from there. I just re-read your first post you should be vegging your plants with the 400w HPS if you have it.

at first i put the lights like 10 inches away, but now that the plants are about 2 inches tall I moved the lights to a couple inches from their tops.
Spindoktor - do you have a fan of some sort blowing on ur plants?? if you dont have one then you need one for sure. fans are an easy way to strengthen the stems of ur plants. how tall, and how many leaf sets do they have?

You probably will not be able to use the Ionic grow at 700 ppm if you don't use the 400w light however . . . the plants will not be able to utilize it under the flouros.

I had a box fan blowing on it from a distant because it looked like it was blowing the shit out of the plants, but what would be a good sized fan?? And are the plants supposed to be moving around a lot when the fans on it? Is there some sort of nutrient like boron or nitrogen that can boost stem strength?? Thanks!!

Use plain old oscillating fans for air circ.

The plants will develop stronger stems in response to the air motion.
Don't add boron. It's a micronutrient that already exists in your nutrient concentrate and it's very easy to overdose. Just use your standard nutes.
