Nutrients Help!!!!

Hey first time grower here. I have about 6 plants growing under 2 4 ft fluros. They are all about 3-4 inches right now and are in plastic cups, some are doing better than others. 2 of them have sort of turned a dark green and began to shrivle up a bit. While one of them has turned a bit yellow on one leaf and 3 of them are doing extremly well. I water the plants maybe once every 2-3 days and keep them about 2 inches away from the lights. I was wondering could it be that they need nutrients or are they still to small for them. Not only that but where would i find the required Nutrients and how would i administer them. I dont live in an area with a local growshop so i have no place to get my info Plz help. I would post pics but my camera is really crappy.

sounds more like a ph issue than a nute. what is your ph balance?

that is prolly the first thing to test. you shouldnt require to add nutes to the plants for a while when they are young like yours. so it does sound like a ph problem.

go to your local fred meyers, lowes, home depot, or whatever you have that sells stuff like that, and you can get testers for cheap.

i don't see where you mention how old they are. it takes no time at all for seedlings to kick out a bunch of roots. if your plants are 3 to four inches tall, i'd bet you already have the roots circling the bottom of the cups. i'd transplant. and if they're 11-14 days old, i'd say feed 1/4 strength.

Believe it or not the plants that are doing worse had a better PH content than the ones that were doing better. The stronger plants were in the 8 range and the weaker ones stayed in the 7 range.

What kind of soil are they in? Some will grow better then others as well.

I actually live out in the sticks so i have really rich soil out here thats what i used

Your problem is that there is no vermiculite or pertlite in the soil. When you are ready to trnsplant add some. Right now your soil is getting hard or compacted. Correct? Ya need air in the soil.

wait it out, i have had weak seedlings turn into strong healthy mothers. i've had plants that did well for the first 2 weeks of veg, then turned out to be weak females.
