try extra heat and ventilation as well. air should be moving all the time. raise heat to 80 for a day or two, make sure your not enclosed and have proper ventilation.
yeah, you can put paper towels stacked up underneath it to...or stick the whole pot on top of some dry soil...the dry soil will pull the moisture out...as will the paper towels, or whatever else absorbent you might want to use...
i overwatered once, and it was bad. i tried everything, but if it very wilted down, you might have to just harvest it. i find that a $10 moister meter works great to keep that from happening. only water when it says dry.
pick up the pot right after watering to guage how heavy it feels. when the soil looks dry and the pot feels very light, its time to water again. they plants will start to wilt once they are thirsty
