There are very good liberals just as there are very good conservatives. The lady that cooks my breakfast 1-2 times a week, owns a little breakfast restaurant. She is a die-hard conservative. I certainly don't hate her, and I'm sure she doesn't hate me, afterall, I'm a paying customer that has been attracted to her business by the quality of her food. What people have not been told (as least from what I have read so far) is that the stem cells simply do not work. They cannot get them out of the lab. While it would be nice to have a gumby cell which could be anything, these stem cells always mutate into a very virulent cancer. One of the reasons why the Govt. hasn't funded it. Tons and tons of money is being poured into it from the private sector. From the pattern of Obama decisions, he doesn't really care about it, but he does wish to suck the life out of the private sector and this is simply one more case of it.

Just because the bush administration needs to have a reason to ban something doesn't mean its true.
Take Marijuana propaganda for example. Its bad for us and we will hit people with cars if we smoke and drive.
Well you basically bought into the propaganda behind banning federal funding on stem cells.
If you think the private investors gave enough money to rival that which some would receive federally then you are wrong.
even if what you say is true about stem cells its only a matter of time before they will work. The only way that can happen is the federal govt funding them.
Impossible is only a term invented for not understanding and not thriving to understand something.
It is possible with adequate research to make stem cells something extremely useful to mankind in the long run.......and shouldn't that be what we're worried about?
