Obama says hands off

I just heard a sound bite on CNN where Obama was saying that it doesn't make sense to spend federal resources going after medical and recreational mj in states where it is legal (paraphrasing). Good news, but we've heard this from Obama before. Of course, he doesn't have a reelection to worry about anymore.

I don't know. I call bullshit on Obama. I bet if Mitt never had that 47% video released (which I support his statement.. but that's another story) he would have won. I digress. I have a feeling there will be raids still, but more so on huge and well known commercial grows. And of course the government being themselves will find a "justified" reason, ex; too close to school zone, suspect of exceeding plant limit, black market connections, etc.

I believe that about as much as I believed him when he said he'd lay off MMJ. Just ask the people forced to close their state-legal businesses how well Obama keeps his word...

They never did have the resources to go after people who grow for themselves. There is no way they can go after regular growers like me.

I agree that they won't go after individuals but I don't like the way he's playing with words. He makes it sound like they will leave people alone in states where mj is legal. That is clearly not true. Arresting the only legal source of mj just fuels yhe black market.

At this point I'd just like the administration to come clean on their goal relative to mj prohibition. Unless the goal is to fill prisons and sustain criminal profit margins then they can't possibly be meeting their goal.

well duh, of course that's their goal.. what do you think the goal of any prohibition is? money money money and mo money imvho.. they want to lock people up, get paid by private prisons for doing so, and in the process create jobs for their buddies who paid to get them elected to begin with..
i'm shocked more people aren't up in arms about private prisons in the us honestly.. it's the new slavery of our century.

I think it's great. Even though he says it, it does set a status quo for doj to follow. And in the past, at least here in Colorado, I only heard, and reAd, of the Feds going after dispensaries within 1000 feet of a school. That's been one of the requirements since the laws changed a couple o years ago.
Mao regardless it helps our cause I think.

We'll see what happens, but here's the story:

Good old Barry O played us once saying he was going to allow it, then nevermind. Now he's saying it's ok again at least in the states that vote for it. They haven't gone after the dispensaries here that much, but nationally he's sending mixed messages. Dude, stop messing up the rotation:

Well I did just read this Skunk Mag. There's a good article how doj did the growers dirty! So I rescind previous statement. But haven't heard of that here in Colorado.

I think they may lay low for a while as the government has a huge mess on its hands slow economic growth ,massive debt 16 trillion and another recession soon but hey whatever happeneds we made it this far

If you grow your own, smoke your own and dont sell any

The DOJ aint gonna do shit in states that it is legal

if you plan on having a 10000 watt grow and runnning a "non profit" multi million dollar dispensary you might want to look over your shoulder
