has everyone forgotten that Barak Hussien Oboma (what self respecting american would vote for this guy just from his name?) was the congresman who refused to swear upon the christian bible to uphold our countries laws and asked for a Qur'an instead which is the same bible the muslims who want to bomb our country to nothing worship? sorry it just annoys me so bad to think anyone would even think about voting for him i have to go roll a huge blunt.
Is it true that when Obama was sworn into office he used the Koran (Qur’an) instead of the Bible?
No. Barack Obama placed his right hand on the Bible during his swearing-in ceremony. Whoever made this allegation has confused Obama with Congressman Keith Ellison, who really is a Muslim and was sworn in on January 4, 2007 using a copy of the Qur’an.

Obama used a Koran? No, he didn't

SUMMARY: An anonymous e-mail claims Barack Obama is a Muslim, attended a madrassa as a boy and took the oath of office on a Koran. The Truth-O-Meter says wrong, wrong and wrong.
In December 2007, the Hillary Clinton campaign asked for the resignations of volunteers who forwarded a chain e-mail falsely saying that Barack Obama is secretly a Muslim. Those firings are just the latest reverberations from a relentless e-mail that has piled up in in-boxes for at least a year. The e-mail makes a number of specious claims to promote its Manchurian Candidate-style conspiracy theory. It says Obama was raised Muslim and that as a boy he attended a radical Wahabi school in Indonesia. The most recent twist on the e-mail falsely alleges that Obama took his oath of office for the U.S. Senate by swearing on a Koran, the Islamic holy book. The facts, though, are that Obama is a Christian and took the oath of office on a Bible.

Obama has officially that he will continue the war on drugs, but that he believes there should be lessened penalties for soft-core drugs and first time offenders. Keep in mind he has admitted using pot and cocaine in the past. You can most likely conclude from this that he will keep marijuana illegal, but stop federal government from interfering with state medical marijuana laws.

edit: OK, here is what wikipedia has to day about his views.

Barack Obama opposes legalization of marijuana, but supports easing the punishments for possession of small amounts of marijuana. Obama's campaign has said that as president, he "will review drug sentences to see where we can be smarter on crime and reduce the blind and counterproductive sentencing of non-violent offenders, and revisit instances where drug rehabilitation may be more appropriate." Obama has openly supported full decriminalization, which eliminates jail time and other penalties, including a criminal record, for possession of a small amount of marijuana,[108] but later revised his view, claiming an uncertainty over the definition of decriminalization.
Obama would support medical marijuana if the "science and doctors" indicate that it would be the best method of pain relief for the patient
At least that's a start, I guess.

Exactly, full legalization would never fly at this time. Be aware that even if legalized, some actions would never be condoned, like driving a motor vehicle under the influence, although since THC stays in the blood a long time (Somewhere between 30-45 days), they would have to devise a test to see how recently you had smoked since the average High is only about 2-5 hours

I could live with that though, you shouldn't be driving stoned in the first place. You're more likely to get caught or wreck which is why I never do it.
