Obama vs The People

How is that list of Obamas accomplishments coming along? I think it's hilarious that dems have the majority and Obama still can't accomplish ANY of his bullshit agenda. The people are waking up and public opinion is still impacting politics. Why do liberals / progressives want big huge gov't, how do you guys think larger gov't is beneficial for Americans?

This is point were I usually point out that he averted economic collapse last year and all the republicans claim there was no crisis and we should have just let the banks and car companies fail...but that's getting a little boring, don't you think?

well the money is still in rotation.

it just used to come more frequently.

ya man i'll loan you a dollar, you dont even have to pay me back.
The money you made during the Clintoon administration has been all taxed away or burned by the Federal Reserve. New money has replaced it in ever larger amounts. The dollar you made during the Clintoon administration bought you a loaf of bread, a half-gallon of milk and the local newspaper. Now yer lucky if a dollar will buy you a small bag of peanuts.

After eight years of Bush, and another three years of Obama, a dollar will buy you ONE peanut.

I know....the republican plan is to fuck everything up while they're in government to make the point that government can't do anything right. Seems to have worked a charm this time around....

Why do all liberals / progressives assume that you are a republican if you don't agree with their twisted points of view? By the way, fuck dems and repubs.

Kind of off topic by now, but just with respect to the whole economy/president thing...the economy cycles pretty much independently from whoever is in office. Sure, the Pres may have some impact on what happens, but the economy as a whole does its own thing. Even though the economy in recent history has been up with Dems in office and down with Repubs in office, it doesn't really matter. At least that was the argument put forth by a prof I once had in college, so sorry, no articles, just some hazy memories of an argument that made sense at the time.
