Dude EIC is EXTRA money the government give low income people...its a government hand out. Its not yours its a hand out. People who receive EIC get back what they paid in taxes PLUS a little extra from this. Makes a lot of sense. The government collects taxes from me: social security, federal and state. Yet gives me back more? I added it up once and still came back a few hundred short. But whatever. Let's say I got back it all and more, why do I pay taxes at all? So I help fund all year their investments instead of letting me invest? Yeah, they love me! Just ask Michelle Obama getting drunk on vodka with my handout. You're delusional if you think the government just gives away money.

I should make this my signature. The government does have programs that help and in a way give away money. Hell in fact some programs do just that with EBT.
Do you drive on public roads, do you fly, do you use street lights, do your kids go to public schools,do your kids ride the bus to school, do you want police around at all, do you visit national parks, do you ride elevators (inspections), do you use traffic lights, do you the library, do you cross bridges, etc..etc...You get all these things plus more because fo the taxes you pay ( but people like you receive back).

There are ulterior motives to all those. The government needs some sort of order. That's Santorum and Perry logic, "Rape gives you a baby gift from God." Yep, that's what a rapist thinks. They rape you to give you the baby you always wanted. The same with government. "Without government you'd have no roads, police or fire department. Imagine the chaos, we'd be Somalia." The same arguement used by religion, "we would do whatever we want without god living our life." It's all bullshit.
Gift Theory is just one of the ways you can get rid of tax theft. There are many more ways that can work at the same time as Gift Theory.
But anyway, I don't ask for EIC. I'm required to turn in a tax return or pay more money instead of getting a handout. Nice try though.

i'm a big fan of EIC, it incentivizes work.
EIC built my greenhouse this year, which allows me to stay off any other government subsidy.
in years prior, EIC has paid for my big fancy lights and fans, which have allowed me to stay off government subsidies.
EIC, while being a government subsidy, is one we are forced to take by simply filling out a 1040. if you don't take it, the IRS will send it to you anyway, just like they did with the making work pay credit that i missed the first time around. just found $400 from the IRS in my account one day and a letter in my mailbox a few days later telling me that i forgot to take the credit.
now if only they would make repairing and selling treadmills a non-criminal enterprise.

Gov. collects taxes and gives away money! Read sign write Stimulus across a 1040 and fill in blanks and sign get $500! Did it twice. But if it was $1 Trillion in stimulus distributed between 330 million people where did the other $2333 per citizen go? Where can we find 535 people that would agree this county needs a balanced budget and not tax and spend? At one time $0.199 tax in Ga on gasoline was 19.9% noone screamed about it everyone payed to drive. 10 Trillion national debt = $33,333 per citizen something or everything has to change? About the only place I see "Illegals" taxed is Walmart & Kroger. So I had 30% withheld from my "Earnings" and still pay 6% at the register. And Gov. gets 8% of my Gov. check each month? If I/u can afford a $40k car you can afford to pay a flat tax on it now that the Birthday Tax on cars is gone in GA? If we need a new start in DC they need to agree.

Would people present their (National Sales Tax)"Kroger card" to show they gave at the office or pay at the cash register?? As opposed to a tax on you bank account? Along with the 20 other AMA taxes?
