OC Kush, ScroG, 2 X 125W CFL, Ebb and Flow Cabinet Grow

Thanks for the welcome and info. I'm staying low cost as well. Right now I have a homemade fixture from scrap 1x1 wood and a thin sheet of dryer duct metal. Here's a pic of it on the right.

Looking to add more bulbs but want to avoid a bunch of excess heavy gauge power cords.

You should be able to turn out some nice buds with your setup. I really like the 2 chamber design, And as long as your not having any problems with heat add as much light as your can. For the size of your bigger chamber, 2 of the 125w bulbs will work great, as you saw that is exactly what I have. I may add a third light to my setup after the summer, but it gets real hot where I live and I don't know if adding more heat load to my cabinet is a good idea. I had no problem with my veg under the 2 lights and even though my bloom stage is going great I bet I would get more yield with a third bulb. With the sockets I used you just need two holes to mount the socket and then just bend the strap steel in whatever shape you need to get it mounted and you will be good to go. Thanks for sharing you design, I love to see what other people are doing.

Looks like it;s time for an update. I was hoping I could harvest on 4/20 but the trikes are taking their time to turn milky. I have just stated seeing milky one so I figure another week or so. We left off on the 7th so here is the 8th.

The trikes are still totally clear but this is only day 46 of flower. So looking good so far.

More in a while. The one change I don't like with the new RIU is the 10 picture per post limit. That's why I have to make all these separate posts. Oh well.

And finally the 16th which is day 55 of flower. Saw some milky trikes today so I put in the last week of nutes. Next week we will be flushing then harvest. Yee Haw.



Didn't take any pictures of the milky trikes. Only saw a few, hope I started the finish at the right time. If I run it all the way to the end it will finish off on day 65-68, 10 more than usual time but I am under CFL's and I understand that extends the finish time. We will see.

Wow - looks like it could be a monster yield. So many buds!

Not for nothing, but it looks like you're going a few millilitres heavy on the nutes with each tank refill. I see quite a lot of scorched leaf tips, which to me indicates that you're at the very limit of what your plant can handle in terms of feed.

Exceptional first run, dude. Really.

Thank you so much Jim, I really appreciate the kind words. And I am dead serious, if I hadn't seen your cabinet grow I wouldn't be doing this right now. I, like a lot of people thought you needed big lights, big rooms and expensive equipment to grow nice buds. You showed me that that is not true. Heck, I spent more on my PH and E/C meters than the entire cab including lights! So for all you guys lurking on here. Stop lurking and start building, you won't regret it. Now as far as my nutes, I will admit I was running my nutes at the top of the scale the last couple of weeks. Now that I have started on the last 2 weeks my nutrients recommend a reduced load the next to last week then flush the last week, so were as my E/C has been in the 1.8-2.0 range I am now in the 1.0-1.2 range. What is amazing the amount of nutes the White Widow is taking. I am over 3.0 and it is just growing and putting on bud weight like crazy. I expect a very good yield out of my WW. Once the Kush is done I will put a clone of the WW in the CFL cabinet and see what the yield is compared to the HPS. And I will also do a run of the Kush in the HPS cab. Then I will try some other genetics. I just placed an order with Attitude for 6 different strains that I am looking forward to growing.

And now the 18th. Lots of fully formed trikes and getting about 10 % milky.



As mentioned I went a bit heavy on the nutes, dropped it down a few days ago. All the new leaves are looking great plus I am in the last week of feeding anyways.

And today. I saw a few more milky trikes and decided to start the flush. Based on what Jim said and what I have read elsewhere I wanted a nice clean high and this strain is real stony as it is so I don't think I have started to early. 5-7 more days and I will be cutting my first baby down. My birthday is on the 27th so it will be a nice birthday present for me.



Almost over. Can't wait to see how it turns out and how much it yields.

Time for an update as we are getting very close. A question for you guys, I have read that one way to tell that you have flushed enough is to clip off a leaf and suck on the juice, if it is bitter continue the flush, if it is tasteless then you are good to go. How do you guys judge when your flush is done? Any input is appreciated. On to the pics. These are from the 20th.

Well, we are in day 68 of flower and I still don't have very many cloudy trichs yet. I am starting to see more amber though. No new pictures since at this point I am not really seeing any more growth and it looks exactly the same. I hope this thing finishes off soon, I am getting very impatient. According to the strain database this should be done in 55-65 days. So since they say to add 7-10 days for CFL's unless I see something that tells me to go earlier I will harvest in one more week. I will take plenty of pics when I cut her down, maybe even have my wife film it being done.

A while back I mentioned that I was trying a true micro grow. I wasn't going to do a full thread on it but here are a few pictures anyways. It is White Widow being grown in a mini DWC, under 125 watt CFL.



I vegged it for 7 day then flipped to 12/12 18 days ago. Not sure what to expect but it is looking good so far.

Yes she did, I hope not to much. I am doing a little bit of LST and some trimming so that the light get a little penetration. If it gets much bigger I may have to move it out of the case. I think a shorter plant might have been a better choice. We shall see.

OK all you growers out there, I am looking for some advice. I am at day 75 of flower, I have about 10% milky trichs and about 10% amber trichs, and about 80% clear trichs. I have been in flush for 14 days now. They say 55-65 for OG Kush, which is what I think I have. The guy that I got it from said the clone was purchased in California and the guy called it OC Kush According to the strain database, there isn't any actual strain called OC Kush so all I know is it in every way resembles a Land Race Indica. And most of those go 55-65 days, add 10 days for CFL's and it should be done. Should I harvest now? Should I keep flushing? Is there a length of time you wouldn't go past? After 75 days it can't be immature can it? Here are a few pics from just a few minutes ago.
As you can see the buds are filled out nicely. If it is growing any more, then it is growing very slowly. Here are a few more.

Any input is appreciated.
