It’s really the American people versus the giant bankers, captains of the military-industrial complex, and handful of others who are benefiting by shafting the average American.
Remember that one of the founders of the Tea Party – Karl Denninger – has slammed the current Tea Party (which was quickly co-opted by the mainstream GOP) for serving the rich and the Republican party instead of fighting against the giant banks, and is calling for non-partisan, Gandhi-style nonviolent resistance to take on the banskters.
The "resistance?" What resistance? You have as much of a right to "protest" until the NYPD says "go home." At that point, you should listen well...Seriously, what do these people think is going to happen? They are just going to somehow be able to have their way with the cops? Get real. All these videos of the police being assholes and arresting people with no cause is what fuels the resistance. If a million people come what will they do if they lose control?
You really couldn't care less about freedom could you? The police have no authority to tell people to go home when they are engaged in constitutionally protected behavior. Now you need to get off the forum and go to bed.The "resistance?" What resistance? You have as much of a right to "protest" until the NYPD says "go home." Go home and vote, write legislation...be proactive. Not an agitator with an ill-defined aim.
Yes, they do have the authority. That's why they are called LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. I love freedom, fuck, don't we all? I think we just have very different opinions of how to express it.You really couldn't care less about freedom could you? Is that what there called even when they are violating laws?Yes, they do have the authority. That's why they are called LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. I love freedom, fuck, don't we all? I think we just have very different opinions of how to express it.
OH, in that case which law are they enforcing? Which law was being enforced when the Police lieutenant sprayed people with pepper spray? Which law is it that says you must arrest and tackle people who are on the sidewalk minding their own business? I think you are VERY confused on what laws are and what rights are. Laws cannot strip rights. The 1st amendment guarantees the people the right to Peaceably ASSEMBLE and absolutely prohibits any laws designed to deny such a right.Yes, they do have the authority. Now you're starting to get it!If a cop tells you to shut up- you shut up- because he's law enforcment so if he says shut up thats the law, if you don't you are a criminal and he might phisicaly assault you to maintain law and order and if you resist you might get shot- Which is what happens to criminals- that's what we pay cops for. and thats how we know who's guilty- if you get arrested or beaten or shot by a cop, you were breaking the law.
There are only 2 rules
Rule 1 the cop is right
Rule 2 if the cop is wrong refer to rule 1
Do you know the legal definition of a right means that the Government has a obligation? Each legal right that an individual possesses relates to a corresponding legal duty imposed on another. In this case the Government ( that also means the police) shall have the duty of upholding the supreme law of the land. The fact that they are not means they are acting UNLAWFULLY, which does not necessarily mean they are acting illegally. Unlawful and illegal are different things.I am sure that many lawyers would disagree with both of you...on many grounds. I get you're offended, but that doesn't make you "more right."
ND, where did that second paragraph come from again? I must have forgot.
all those "this'" were links to articles. here's the original:I’ve repeatedly warned that there is a scripted, psuedo-war between
Dems and Repubs, liberals and conservatives which is in reality a
false divide-and-conquer dog-and-pony show created by the powers
that be to keep the American people divided and distracted. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this. (In fact, the Founding Fathers warned us about the threat from a two party system.)
For someone who frequents this site, your attitude on authority is bizarre. I don't think you give a damn about the police, you just don't like the protesters. Now you're starting to get it!
My work here is done.
