Hi
decided to give grafting a go so i could have multiple strains to choose cuttings from but only 1 plant which i hope to keep as a bonsai mother
Here is a pic of the mother and 2 plants getting grafted to her

here is the ww mother

after adding the ice kush graft to her

and the blueberry gum graft

heres a pic of the method i used to graft them

they will remain like this untouched for 2 weeks
the mother plant is in rockwool with clay balls on top to try stop algae forming
she is under 90w cfl 24/7 as i dont want her to grow to fast or big
she gets soup of grow a+b super thrive and hydrogen peroxide every 2 days at aprox 700ppm ph 6
so fingers crossed and time to play the waiting game

ok its been a week still not much to see as they still in the bags but looking good
here's some pics of the grafts the veg cab and some porn from the flower room

heres my cream caramel baby which will also be grafted to the ww if all goes well

btw i forgot to mention earlier the veg cab sits around 65% humidity and ranges between 18 to 27 degrees celcius

hi all bit of bad news the bluberry gum graft didnt take but i have done another graft
i think it was cause the blueberry gum graft was from the top of the plant and its stem may have been a bit to large so the new graft has a thinner stem fingers crossed it takes
the ice kush on the other hand looks great and will have the bag removed in 2 days

here is a pic of the blueberry gum that i had to redo the bag comes off at the end of the month

here is a pic of the cream caramel that will be grafted when big enough to get a cutting off it

and here is a pic of the veg room with every1 in it the 2 on the left of the pic are nect to go in the flower cab they are ice kush and blueberry gum

Looking good Odlaw, how are you finding the grafting method?

I just did a triple graft onto a very small Acapulco Gold seedling ... well it had 4 branches and 3 of them have been removed/replaced with grafts. The grafts had their baggies removed just a week after grafting.
I'll give it a week to be sure and then it's time to kill my other mothers.

i cant believe how easy it is lol
its gunna rock having one mother but 4 strains to pick and choose cuttings from lol
the only reason my first blueberry gum graft didnt take i think is cause the graft stem was a bit to thick for the host plant but the new bbg graft is looking the goods lol
i was a lil bit worried the ice kush hadnt taken at first was lookin a bit weak but today it looks healthy as

Hey oddie, I just snapped a pikkie of my new mother to show how young she is.

Just below the first fork you can see where the seed leaves were attached, she is a baby but destined to be a great mother :-)

The tall branch is Acapulco Gold, the other three (grafts) are Red Dragon, L.S.D. and Tangerine Dream.

dam man well done lol i thought ya had to wait until they got a bit bigger and had a decent root system developed

i need to prune my mother up but didnt want to touch her to much while i am grafting

well the tape is in strips so i was just going to leave it on and let the plant remove it with its growth lol
but now u have me curious how it looks under the tape rotfl

i think your idea is better lol, letting the plant grow and remove itself :lol:

it does look healthy so its not affecting it much anyway
