Odor Control/ Stand alone carbon filter question

My tent is in a 10 x 10 room and i have no access to vent outside. Im in week 2 of flower and my girls are stinky. My question is if i can keep heat down, can i put one of those stand alone carbon filters in the room that the tent is in? i am currently exhausting into the same room. I found this on ebay, will this be good for me but most importantly for my girls? any input is greatly appreciated always, and + rep, be safe guys..

p.s. the intake is from the same room also..

Carbon filters require pressure to be usable. In otherwords, without a quality fan blowing lots of air through the filter (or pulling it through the filter, any way you work it), you wont have any benefit from carbon. So if you get the can filter, make sure you attach it to your exhaust somehow.

Exhausting to the same room is likely making your temperatures too high too, btw, so make sure this isnt the case! Even if you have to vent out your air vents to the room, vent it out!

You can also try Ona, a gel/gummy based odor neutralizer. If you do, get Ona Pro, dont waste money on the non-pro stuff. Just leave it open in the tent and all should be well. I've yet to see a tent that a gallon jug of Ona pro couldnt handle on its own!

hi thanks for the speedy reply, i forgot to attach the link.. this one is a stand alone unit.. it comes with a fan, my question is would this be suitable to purify the air while still removing odors or just removing odors? so with this stand alone unit, is it worth it? anyone plzzz

The carbon filter is mainly for odors. I created my carbon filter from a Honeywell table top air cleaner. All the air comes in the front of the cleaner, so I created a rectangle chamber eight inches deep, kind of like a custom dryer vent. The air cleaner fits snugly into the top of this. I duct tape all the cracks so that the air is forced to come through 1 or 2 inches of carbon pellets in the bottom of the chamber. It scrubs odor pretty good. A side benefit is that this is not just a carbon odor filter, it also contains a HEPA filter for removing particles from the air. The table top cleaner cost about $40. The carbon pellets I got online for relatively cheap. The chamber I created was out of some heavy duty plastic I had. Anything will work, just as long as it seals the system completely so the air goes slowly through the carbon pellets. You might even be able to use some leftover heating ducts. The key is to get the seal snug so the air had to go through the carbon filter, at a relatively slow pace.

Bump...also need answer to his question.been trying to get an answer for over a year.would one of those carbon filter that come with a fan be ok to use in a grow room.?with out the ducting and all that?

arnt c filter so wen u extract air it scrubbs the smell so it is weak wen it exits the room
you carnt stop your plants smell so without extact u wil still smell it no matter wot
