Odor Control

Can anyone advise me on if I can or should use Ozone Gen, or carbon filtration for a small grow. The grow area is 8x2 the neighboring room is 14x15, just to be sure I'd like to clean both rooms air.

I'd like to use a method that's most passive, but I'm concerned that UV/Ozone gen doesn't cut it. My garden is less than 20 plants.

Man, I use 4 ionizers, 2 large, two small, and two carbon filters and a FREEBREEZE FILTER, and I still get a STINK from 5 to 8 plants.

I figured out my cubic feet for my two seperate rooms and ordered a carbon scrubber for each room that was rated for my size rooms. They have performed wondefully. It is just about time to replace the carbon but I have been using them for 11 months. Of course, none of this helps when you open the door. Stinky stuff. I keep a small portable carbon air purifier outside the door to catch what comes out when the door is opened. I hope this helps.

Ozone? I use the spray when we're having guests. it is a short term FIX.

I also built a Filter, I use a 5 gallon bucket, with 6 inches of Kitty Liter in the bottom, and a dozen two inch holes cut in a circle, around the perimeter of the bucket, one inch above the cat litter. Each hole is two inches apart. I laid a $9.00 round circular ten inch table fan from Walmart, in the top of the bucket, pointing or blowing toward the cat litter. I soak the cat litter in ODOR - GO. I also found that URINE-B-GONE works too. I also use some FREEBREEZE too. The theory is the fan sucks all the air and blows it ont he cat litter, masking the bad odor. It works really good, but the room gets a perfumey chemical smell, but it is better than skunk smell.

You might as well make a Carbon Scrubber, it's just easier than masking the smell.

:)
I built one but I'm not the handiest person unless it's legos or slot a into slot b type shit;-). I think I just need to seal it a bit better, I'm on my second redesign. I've been having trouble finding matching parts for some of the DIY section stuff so I had to substitute my own crap.

I understand the concept, so it's just a matter of time before I get it working correctly.

I use an ozone generator, the OZN-1, and it works really well. I just finished 4 bagseed plants they didn't smell that bad. I've ran it when frying some bacon and there is zero smell. So I imagine it can handle some stinky plants, it says it covers 5500 square feet.

Ya know for all the time I've put into my garden I might just buy one. Maintaining 100% stealth is really important to me. I just don't want the meter guy or some random person getting there dog (or other weird event) from my yard to catch a wiff of anything, not that I smell a thing when I get home from work except in the actual closet.

Right, odor control is the most important thing for your grow, yes lights and nutes and good genetics matter but if you can't control the smell what's the point of the other stuff...
