go to the DIY section of this site and look up odor control. Like I said, with a couple of PC fans and a couple of bucks spent at Lowes or Home Depot you'll be good to go. It doesn't get any cheaper than that.

Thanks bro. Yeah it would blow to have the window open all the time. I believe is the 7th day of relentless snow? And it should only get worse I plan to start growing in January. Haha stealth operations, tough shit right? I'm starting small to make sure I can keep it low-key. Believe me though, as soon my room starts smelling to bad i'm opening both windows, blowing fans everywhere. What kind of incense and stuff do you mean? Like I know that with a lot of plants smart idea is for a carbon filter but i'm trying to keep the budget to minimal. I figured if these six weeks didn't work out with the odor and all, then yeah of course i'll get a carbon filter for next time. Not sure what to do really. Damn dude 8 plants thats pretty risky haha. I have no Idea what type of incense to use and if it's even safe... lol I just heard someone else say it.. I just wanted confirmation on how legit of an idea I had. I know everything is good but I'm unsure about incense. and yeah. I live in north dakota and my front porch has knee-high snow. My plants are only 2weeks barely but I have 8 and they are starting to smell. just very small though. I have no idea what I'm going to do especially with a college student budget. I spent like 10 minutes looking around my room for new grow pots. I'm growing on my ceiling chandelier right now..lol..haha. I just saw that I have 7 big empty Protein and other Workout supplements in my room that I was enthused to come up with the idea to use them as containers because they are called "Nitro-Peak, Super Whey, Anabolic Halo, Super pump250, and Cyto-Gainer" LOL all great grow names or I could just name my plants those and sell the seeds and some buds to retards to help pay tuition. Pretty good $$$
My plants are still young so I could still Circle-Grow them to keep them low or use the Low-stress training(LST). I'm scared to try it so maybe I'll test it out on a runty looking plant, they are looking healthy as of now though... so I think I'm good. I'm just trying to prepare for the future with smell. Jefferson gave the best Idea with price. But I'd definitely air out the bedroom often. would take no time with putting the fan on blast and then closing after a min. wear a jacket and the plants won't be harmed getting cold for 2 seconds.

Yeah it's tough as a college student right. Damn dude that ballsy in your house haha. Let me know how it goes though with smell. 8 plants is going to be tough i'd have a back up in case they stink up the place. My closet is across the room from my window so my plants won't even get to cold. I'm wondering where the best place to put my fan is. I think I may just set it up in the middle of my room and have it blow out my window. I have a small air ionizer i'll set outside my closet. And there is also a desk near the door which i'll set the Ona Gel. For just two plants I feel like it should work. If it doesn't i'll be really suprised.
I can't believe you guys are dogging on Ona Gel so much, lol. Carbon filters don't work 100% either yeah know, but yes they work better than Ona Gel by far.
He asked if Ona Gel is worth it, and I think it is very much worth it. If you are worried about someone smelling your Ona then you are probably growing illegally, just saying.
I'd rather smell a clean scent of my choice than what the carbon filter kicks out. Carbon gets rid of 99% of it and you can't really tell what it is you are smelling, but there is a still "a" smell.
And you guys worried about smell and getting caught, you shouldn't be half-assing your air cleaning needs. Smell should be your first priority before even lights, nutes, strain, etc are even considered. It falls under that whole "stealth" category, lol.

Well if you have some tips that would be great. I'm growing only one or two plants so I thought it could be easily managed.

I know im new to the site in terms of posting but ive been reading here for quite awhile now.
Im surprised the first comment wasn't dont grow in your dorm room or your parents house. Just sayin thats askin to get busted especially if you smoke or do anything else illegal in your room. But for what its worth i would think about setting up a cheap cabinet inside your closet so you can actually regulate air exchange and smell.

If your in a sketchy situation I'd say avoid it altogether, but if you must, a carbon scrubber/filter is gonna be your best bet + some Ona backup. I wouldn't completely dismiss the Ona though, we have an Ona block and I shit you not after literally 2-3 minutes of walking around the house with the lid off, the smell is gone along with pet odors! If you left one of those open all the time that's all you'd smell, the stuff is gnarly potent. I don't have any experience with their gel though, just the block. (Probably get the green block as the blue one smells like that weird clean smell you get in public restrooms, not the best odor imo.) =)

I wouldn't be smoking or doing anything illegal in my dorm. I'm in PA and unfortunately where I am has horrible connections. I'm auto flowering starting in January, should only take about 6 weeks.

Thanks man. I mean remember i'm growing one or two plants so the smell isn't as strong. I'll remember the block in the future...unfortunately I already purchased the gel! haha. Just a little to late. However I may have time to cancel it. Is this cool?...

Ona masks, carbon removes. There is no harm is doing both, but Ona is second on the list.
