This is an interesting thing; I think 'conscious lies' should be worthy of jail after a certain age, maybe 18 years of age.
I would assume, that the general and possibly South Korea's governments definition of 'adultery' is to be unfaithful to one's spouse or husband, maybe even for a man to be unfaithful to their wife(s).
I would like to make a point that in these times this definition is no longer wholehearted enough. I think a truer definition of adultery and/or infidelity is to be unfaithful to one's heart, moreso within a true commitment.
My observation of reality, particularly among the predominate generation currently in authority, that is the baby-boomers is that through the false conditioning, superficial influence, persuasion and/or toxic programming of many of our minds by things of influence family, peers, media, etc that one can commit and even has committed a / the act of adultery simply by marrying the wrong person, that is to say, as in marrying someone for the wrong reason, as in not marrying from the Spirit, moreso Virtue of God that is Love, Truth, Humility / Long Suffering(?), Patience, Peace, Righteousness / Justice, etc of our hearts consistently through our minds into the manifestations of the external / eternal universe.
My point is when you look at the spirit that is the ‘essence’ of what adultery truly is we can understand and empathize more to the challenges and motives of one’s conduct. It is important to act from one’s heart and seek out and commit to the supernatural and natural truths of the Divine Order; with this being said many are lost from the Divine Order and have made many truly wrong or superficial commitments in route to making the truly right, as in righteous commitments which may look to be wrong to the natural or superficial eye initially but ultimately is the truly right thing. This is why Truth and Time despite particularly false or vain circumstance is the empirical way to live one’s life and achieve one’s true destiny.
Based on the example of the South Korean woman who is facing jail time for ‘committing the act of adultery, what I am attempting to ‘reason’ or ‘rationalize’ is that potentially for confound reasons this women and her current marriage is the true adultery and the extramarital affair is of her heart, thus making it more in tune to her original destiny. A-typically, one’s heart can be in the right place, when their mind is somewhere else; the goal is to seek out the Truth to the consistent with one’s heart in one’s mind until the mind righteously or divinely agree with one’s heart. Obviously, I am establishing a distinction between physical or natural adultery and its more principle predecessor spiritual or supernatural adultery.

With this being reasoned, I implement a 3 to 5 year grace period of reasons for divorce, consistent with general repentance to those applicable to permit those who doubt in their hearts the state or motive of their commitments in order that they may return to their divine or original beings as guided from the Divine Truth that is of their hearts and the Divine Creator and Order. Through this (at best) ever increasing exposure to the Divine Truth, the individual in question has began to realize in their mind / conscience consistent with their heart a place of true reality and have found themselves in commitments that they truly shouldn’t be in. I am obviously, focusing on the spirit of adultery moreso then the worldly / traditional or (seemingly) natural act of it.
None the less, it is possible for a married women to commit adultery within her own marriage because she is not truly married to the right person because of her mind not truly realizing the Objectivity of their heart; thus, her mind is not completely clear or sane of this inconsistency of their circumstance, furthermore, through the vulnerabilities of a false or superficial conditioning of one’s mind from one’s environment or (sub)culture the individual in question was manipulated into an unwarranted extracurricular affair. However, you can see through this essay that it essentially is a matter of heart, Primary or Divine Truth, principle reasoning and conscience that is the guidance or prompting of the Truth on one’s mind, before it manifest.
True conduct of love, empathy and transparent communication of wholehearted Truth from all parties involve in Covenant may permit polygamy (which is for everybody) with humility and (sacrificial) obedience to one’s conscience as their principle / heart / nature evolves. Love doesn’t lie and deny from its responsibilities or abuse its liberties. Reasoning true and/or sincere honesty with empathy to the consequences of one’s calling and responsibilities are the way to avoid regret and hindsight. Integrity Spiritual reasoning and the balance thereof is the essence of receiving the grace of such a composition. God’s Love and (sacrifical) obedience / discipline is the true requirement. Polygamy is not a mandate, it is a disicipline of grace.
