ok so i have just enough to finish up my last week of feed and then its just water flush .... but after 2 full runs and about a $1,000 spent im thinking i can do it for a 1/4 of the cost and maybe even better results.... (and yes i know i have gone on in many posts about Advanced Nutrients is worth the money blah blah blah .. *removing foot from mouth*....) ive even gone on to tell others they may need it and some may have been real legit gardners and i am now saying sorry to the few i have!! theres a couple that i remember so again im sorry ;) .... and in no way am i saying AN sucks balls cause i do still think they work and great at that considering my first grow was with them and it was better then 80% of what ive seen! so for a first timmer to run as smooth and turn out quality they must be a quality company right?? i just dont wanna spend the money on it when i now know i dont NEED to... id rather spend a grand on my gear collection!! ;) .... anyways so i have a few other lines im considering that are 5-8 bottles not 16-20 and a fraction of the price!! out of the 3 im thinking the most ill be spending is 250-300 for a good 3 or 4 full runs!! ... soo RIUers lay it on me!! hit me with what your running with! i wanna hear everyones thoughts and insight on this cause im just here to learn and share! .... i wanna see alot of responses here so cmon guys and gals whats your current nutrients of choice??? weather your organic or synthetic, mix your own soil, or even make your own special mix up lay it on me and share your ways!! i wanna hear it all!! lol heres a pic of my hard earned money :-/

Lately it's been just maxigrow/bloom in my recirculating setups. And it's floranova grow/bloom in coco/soiless run to waste setups. Only addative used is calmag.

I also got sucked into using worthless addatives for a while there.
I started growing indoor almost 25 yrs ago now. I didn't use shit except for the flora-series for a long time. I got sucked into using bigbud/overdrive/budcandy etc. for a few years, a few years back. I've been sober for quite sometime now, but I still feel like a fucking idiot for Wasting my money on shit that did nothing for Me.
Try a more simple path bro. Just know, you can pull large/great tasting yields from just the basics.

I never knew so many people cared about advanced nutrients (for/against) until I started coming on rollitup. Is it because it is available in a lot of states where other brands arent or something? In most of the hydro stores around where Im at it's just one of many other nutrient lines that are stocked.

when i joined riu i didnt know anything about nutrients and it seems like AN is in atleast 50% of the posts on here lol good or bad.... and i think it is kinda crazy that they get this much attention cause theres a few other companys out there that have the exact same idea ya know... 20 bottles that cost a grand... but they are the only ones getting blasted lol idk

I personally don't have any problems with the AN bases I've used. They are just another complete nutrient base. That's it. Nothing special, but too expensive like most all other nutes on the shelves.
What I don't like is all the additives from them that get rammed down newbies' throats, and retards like me:-)
It seems like More and more companies are putting out more and more worthless additives also nowadays, so it isn't just AN anylonger though.
Oh yeah, and supposedly one of the owners likes to molest children, so I've read.

Because AN as a company, has screwed more people around with their shitty customer service, other practices they use against their wholesalers.

Example, a store could buy just nutrients, then AN says, well, we can't sell you nutes, UNLESS, you buy some other products like fans,ballasts,hoods to help support the co. Happened to a buddies store I know. He didn't want/need other stuff, just the nutes to fill an order. AN Made him buy that crap.

then AN had a magazine the put out for free, then discontinued it, then brought it back, BUT, the hydro store has to buy it now to either sell it, or give it away at the cost of the hydro store.

one of the old owners is accused of child molestation

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Oh yeah, i forgot about their bad-ass fans. Bad-ass my ass. The most worthless piece of shit fans evur. It was a good idea though.

to be fair, the whole child didling thing should not sway anyones choice of buying the product! if you look back in time and all the people out there they may have had a hand in either a multi million company or a public figure or a music band thats been accused of such acts ... im gonna use mike gordon as a example .... i have been a huge huge Phish fan since i was 14, ive been to many shows, festivals and what not...they were a huge part of my wanting to be a musician and im now a funky ass groove laying down drummer ... and years ago when the whole gordon taking pics of some boy on his boat came out in the public eye, yes i was very very hurt! confused, let down and many other things.... but im sorry that doesnt change the fact that those 4 gods, legends, musical geniuses play at a level most never will!! and it didnt stop me from jamming out to them and i never will!!!

Actually this is what Advanced Nutrients did. When their hardware came out they forced the sales guys to tell the stores that as of some date (2009) if you didn't have a least one of each of their hardware items you wouldn't be able to buy the nutrients any more. I know I was the one the sales guy talked to. LOL we laughed pretty hard now because I like Frank as he a really good guy just works for the wrong company we were sympathetic to his plight. My buddy who also owns a store told them to fuck off and got them to take all of their new AN back and once he sold out he never brought it back.


When Gino's paedophile stuff came out
there were a couple local stores that got rid of AN. Then magically Gino was bought out by Big Mike. Obviously that was to distance the company from Gino's touching kids charges.

How did you like the coco tek, i run GH and as long as you dont let the salt build up, it works great.
i tried AN and i didnt like where they engineered there product so you have 16ml of each base.

been using plagron terra system for the last 5+ years in soil. Works well, great results.

Trying an on two girls at the moment, and flora grow on 1 dwc setup. So far so good....
