Check out this knife I keep in my truck from now on. I bought it from one of my company's OTR drivers for $10, he had box full of these knives.

Keep it hanging on a carabiner on my seat cover right behind me for quick accessibility. Never know if I'll have to fight for a cup of coffee at the truck stop

Pretty nice knife for $10 it's heavy too, no doubt I could chop and hack up something if I needed to. It's full tang 1055 carbon steel with a 6 inch blade and it's nice and sharp right out of the box

The head is the same drop forged 1055 carbon steel as the tanto blade I posted.
This is badass razor sharp, IT'S GOING IN MY WORK TRUCK !!!

I also got a Cold Steel super edge neck knife to wear (just in case I'm ever in need of something stealthy). I have to order some paracord yet to make a necklace for the super edge

Here is a video for the super edge neck knife, that is Lynn Thompson the president of Cold Steel knives in the video !!!

Im hoping to get some advice on a highly controversial subject. Smoking and trucking. First off, sup my names Mac. Ive been an oilfield hand for 8years. Been through the layoffs but always managed. This time ive decided to get my cdl to have a stable career for once. However, im no stranger to pisstests. I keep my whizinator on me at all times. Let me add i use cannabis for medicinal reasons. Mega carriers hair test but ive found a few good otr companies that only piss test. Opinions? Tips? Or should i begin to accept my new drug free life

I don’t get a well-defined medicinal benefit from weed. Others do. If you’re in my category, I would imagine being “clean and worry-free” would take priority.

But, to use a peculiarly apt metaphor: your mileage may vary.

I'm not one to tell you what do, you can do whatever you want on your own time. I got nothing against weed or people who smoke weed, but personally, I'd rather not share the road with someone driving an 80,000 lb CMV who's all dabbed out.

You need to be alert and very aware of your surroundings when you're driving in the truck, things can happen fast

I hope you get your CDL and give driving truck an honest try. I'll tell you now, it's not for everybody and it's not an easy job some days. If you do go for it, please be a professional, be a polite and courteous driver and don't wear track pants with sandals like the Russians do
