I have six og gth #1 which I grew unfortunately in 2 litre pots for 2 months before transplanting to 9 litre pots (biggest size I could fit). I topped on the 2nd true node and again for 4 main heads which stretched alot before transplant. I cut around the sides of the pots and pulled basically a sock of roots off. Then after transplant bent each head over tied to the edge of the new pots and let them grow. They ended up with four main heads on the outside and 8 smaller heads coming out the middle like a crater.
I figured they were still stretching so after 2 weeks more veg I flipped them to 12/12 for a total of 2.5 months veg time. 11pm to 11am. Two weeks flowering I found a light leak and could no longer have the lights on at night and changed to 7am to 7pm. By now the smaller middle branches have caught up to the main branches... both the former and the latter having like 6 inch nodal distances.. its ridiculous. Total of 3.5 weeks flowering now, 5 female and only one male. White hairs becoming more numerous and thickening with the tops starting to look like flowers. Plants are still only about 50-60cm total height from top of the pot with extremely long nodal distances at the bottom... stacking closer together the further up the branch you go. Started applying colloidal silver solution to one of 2nd best female smaller middle branches which havent still got hairs yet and are extremely thin.. are these suitable for pollon production?
I think the light leak is repaired now and am comfortable enough to change them back to 11pm to 11am. I made some changes to my room and now have alot more height to play with. It has been really cold lately and since the lights are no longer on at night temps as low as 9 degrees celcius and max of only 17 degrees, but it will get warmer soon. My question is should I try to change the cycle back to 11pm-11am to improve night time (lights on) temps or just leave them as they are (7am-7pm) to avoid light stress? And also are they still going to double their height? If not should I try revert back to veg and make more use of extra height available? Or will this again cause more stress... I don't want to hermie them.
