I belive that is the start of root rot and trust me you dont want that. I have been fighting it off for the pass two weeks. Ice bottle in teh res with only hurt your plants as you cant not control the temp (I shocked one of plants trying this). The way I see it you have few options.
1. Get an A/C unit to keep the room no hotting then 73f, the water temp should be close to the air temp.
2. Get a chiller this is the route I took. Found a 12 Gallon Chiller on ebay NEW for 150 + Shipping. It is working well. Chillers Model (CL-85)
3. Somethign i was looking into but the cost was clost or more for an ice probe thing that says it can cool 10 Gallon 10f. but you need teh temp controler and the cost is more then the chiller.
4. Cool tubes for your lighting (dont think it will work with your current setup but change the light and get a cool tube should lower the room temp alot.

Good luck. Check out my Grow as there are some notes to how iam fighting this root rot. Trust me avoid this problem at all cost. Only thing I have found to really Help is H2O2 switch can hurt the plant if to much and I have gave it alot slowing add more and more depending on how things look.

The bigger the air pump the more Oxygen ur plants will get less chance of root rot... You can get one for like a 50gallon tank and there will be no problems. Keep the PH right at 6.8-7.0 and feed them. The root ball will get rather large with that many plants in that container... only way around it is more aeration.

OKAY TODAY WOULD BE TEN DAYS IS IT TO SOON TO ADD NUTES OR COULD I GIVE I LOW DOSE AND BY THE WAY I got SUPERNATURAL VEG GROW???????????

DAY: 11

Im down to two plants Mary and Daisy. G turned yellow overnight so i got rid of it. Yesterday i added a lil of my nutes and lowered my lights. i also covered the netpots so no light would get in.

This morning i woke up and notice that the lights being closer was good for my plants but Mary has this brown spots on her leaves is the light too close.

Also my roots were a lil brown so i added 3 tbsp of Hydro proxide only time will tell.

Any ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!

Hey What's Up Fello Austin'n-Nite!!!!!.........Sorry To See You Having A Little Trouble!!!........I've Read Through You THread, & Didn't Find Any Nut. & Supplement's Schedule.I'll Post Some Stuff That Might Help You Get Started........Hey & In Aeroponic's, Which By The Way I Have Been In For Over 10 Year's, Alittle Bit Of Something Goes A Long Way, For Example: If The Manufacture Said Use 5ml, I Use 1ml, If They Say Use 10ml, I Use 2ml, In Aeroponic's You Are Able To feed Strat To The Root's, So It Is More Concentrated Right To The Root's System.

I'm Going To Warn You, But If The Root Rot Is To Bad Already, They Want Make It. But It Will Be A Lessen Learnt
If You Are Experiencing Root Rot, The Root System Will Have A Real Bad Smell!!!......If Not The Should Have A Earthy Smell If Healthy....To Treat The Root Rot, Use Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), Use 1tablespoon=15ml- Per 1 Gallon Of Water, Ph.'ed To 5.8 To 6.3, Run It Though Your Aeroponic's Regular Watering Schedule, For around 36 Hour's Or So, Change The Water Again, & Do It Again, After This 36 Hour's You Can Leave The Water In The Res. & Add Your Nut's , & Supplement's, You Want The H2O2 To Evaporate, Before Adding The HydroGaurd, The HydroGuard Will Help Prevent The Root Rot From Coming Back.

Thanks ALOT i can gain from this and im using a DWC system not aero but im sure its applys in general a true AUSTIN_NITE

How it hanging everybody, well today my ROOM

Temp:76degrees
Humidty:50%

Rez Temp: 69 degrees (added ice bottles)


Well i flushed my rez put 5.5 ph RO water with 7 tbsp of H2O2 to help the roots. Mary's is recovering slowly but surly lower leaves a light green new leaves a dark green leaves have some NUTES burn from b4 the flush but alright. Daisy well she growing but slowing but getting there ya know.

I brought my babies closer to the light probably about 6 in away keeping room temps below 81 is getting difficult but as long as i can control my rez temp im good when rooms temp at 81 rez is 74. I just add two ice bottles every once in awhile to bring down around 68-71 still good to me ya know.

Today i went to the Hydro Store to buy more airstones and pumps. HERES SOME PICS

THEIR TURNING A YELOWISH COLOR CAN ANYONE SHED ME SOME LIGHT AS TO WHY THEIR TURNING YELLOW???
