IDK, he said it was his last bean of the strain. i might try to seperate them asap if possible if i were in his situation. but i agree about the one pot-one plant deal.

Even if it's the last bean I wouldn't try to seperate them. You're just risking killing the thing. No way to tell if it's got two seperate root systems at this point without digging it up. If your going to go this route of growing them both I might grow them both out and clone them when they are big enough. Then see if you get seperate male/female clones from each. I'm thinking they are going to be the same sex.

Everytime I've ever seen this it's been more the "siamese twins" effect and they are attached. I guess you could try poking and prodding gently and see if it seems that way.
 
well i carefully dug it up its replanted now but just to see hot is was they are conjoined at the bottom of the stem so i figure that ill let the roots grow out n attempt to separate them at the root this way they both will have roots

That's not going to work well. I'm sticking by the advice to cut off the weaker of the sprouts in a little while. Plant will grow faster and better with one head and one root system. Not 2 plants not with 1/2 a root system each. And it doesn't really work where you'll be able to just "split" the roots. It's still going to have one tap root and you can't just "split" it.
 
This is new to me, but I have had a seed come up and grow sets of three leaves instead of 2. The false leave(round fake ones) also had three. Unfortnately, I forgot to water in 107 degree weather and it died.
 
iight ill cutt it in a couple weeks at least let the roots get going first shame.What if ones male and ones female and i chop the female?-------that would just be bad karma.

I would be quite surprised if one was male and one female, but hell grow it out. You might want to order some more beans though. Growing just one plant isn't ever very smart anyway. What if they are both male (I'd say there's still a 50% chance of this).
 
I have twins too; 2 of the Blue moonshines growing in my journal. That's why there are 6 instead of 5.

The seed looked like it was cracked, but it was 2 fused; didn't realize this until they sprouted.

I figured it was best to separate them in the first week, and it's turned out well. Both plants are going strong. The runt (named "miracle plant") has surpassed the one that was bigger at the split, and has extra purple stems. I'm glad I kept both.

I heard this happens in about 1/1000 seeds. Pretty rare
