Oil filled heaters vs Space Heaters vs infrared heat

Have had all of them in my grow room, by far the safest, and the one that won't mess with your plants with unwanted light is an oil filled. I picked up mine on sale at Memards for $39.95 and it's kept my grow room nice and warm.

Yeah, My first thinking was the humidity and an electric heater was scary, but I know ppl who have or do use them. Cheaper, but ... What size is yours. I found 700-1500 watts sizes. Currently, my tents sits at 70-75, but it's dependent on my forced air system, so it goes up and down 68-75

Oil filled is the way, slow indirect heat that sticks around for a while. I run one on the "1" setting with the thermostat at about 25%. Keeps ambient temps around 72-75F

Awesome, thanks for input! I am most certain that is the way I will go!

Mine is a 1500 watt, set at 70, and with the light and fan, I'm running an even 75 degrees.

The best heater in a grow room is lights.

I've used oil filled radiant heaters in my LED rooms during harsh winters to bring temps up. Downsides of ceramic/forced air heaters is they dry the air out big time whereas oil heaters do not.

I think the best thing is to experiment and adjust based on your environment. I just ordered a small space heater to help lower the humidity. I’m hoping it lowers humidity and raises my temps slightly as well.

If your humidity is already low then you may need a different option. Adjust according to your conditions.
