Moving into my new place on saturday.
I have previously tried 2 times to grow some really good marijuana and failed miserably.
I spent upwards up 700$ the last time I tried. I bought a grow tent, a 400w hps light/ballast seeds/soil/nutes. And I had heat problem I couldnt keep the temps normal in the tent for whatever reason. 3 plants ended up randomly dying after a week or 2, and the last one got fucked up by my dog. Had heat problem the first time too.
THIS TIME. I plan on growing it openly in my room. I think id rather go CFL since heat is obviously an issue with HPS lights... and obviously I cant sleep with my entire room being orange from the HPS light haha.
I am ordering some FEMINIZED strawberry cough seeds. So I dont have to worry about 12/12 blah blah, but does anyone know around when they will start to auto-flower? Also I am ordering 10 seeds, I plan on only growing 3-4 to begin with, but I want the 3-4 to make it all the way through to the end, so I can actually harvest them. I dont want to do any special techniques, I just want to grow some good marijuana with little work.
With all that being said, should I go ahead and get some CFL's that are 2700k ? Or 6500 k? 2700 for flowering right? So since they are feminized I should probably just get that right? Can anyone link me to the correct lighting that I will need??
any tips, tricks ideas, or advice you can give me so i can finnally after 2 years have a successful harvest?
Also how many times should I be watering and how much and how often? I tried the "if its dry an inch under the soil its time to water" method last time and 3/4 died, not sure why they died but they did.
