Ok I flushed, now what?

Ok, I have been flushing the salts and nutrients out of my plants to in order to stop the burn and raise the soil's PH. I've ran about 20 gallons through each plant, and I intend on running another 10 through them tomorrow.

My plan is on the last 2 gallons, add 1/4 dose of nutrients in because the plants are in a deficiency now, and the leaves are turning yellow from the base up. Looks like a nitrogen deficiency since they are flowering.

My question is, should I give them the "Grow big" nutrients to give them the nitrogen supply or give them the combo of "Tiger bloom" and "Big Bloom" since they are flowering? I just don't know which to give, the plants are very temperamental and don't seem to take well to nutes(maybe due to nute lock).

The girl at the hydro store said to give one feeding of 1/4 strength grow big, then after start giving the bloom nutes since they are flowering. What do you think of this? Also, when do you start adding more nutes? Is it the first feeding of a quarter strength, then wait 2 feedings and give half strength for a few? Just wondering about how to build it back slowly. Any and all help is appreciated and will give +REP for advice. Thanks

Hey Schwag Bag, you are on the right track bro. I would seriously say 20 gallons of flush is PLENTY!!!! DON'T flush them tomorrow. Since you say they are yellowing badly I would first start off with ONLY veg nutes at 1/4-1/2 strength for you watering tomorrow. Then after that watering dries out, go ahead and try the same strength of bloom nutes. They will rebound but the key after nute lockout is flushing, and then starting back on them easily, she'll appreciate it trust me.

Good luck bro!

How far into flowering are you? If you are past week 4, DO NOT feed any nitrogen whatsoever. If you can't stand the yellow leaves, go with some worm castings or blood meal, something organic. You don't want to taste chemical nitrogen in your smoke. You can even add some human urine to your water, it is rich in fast acting nitrogen.

TN is right, no more flushing.

why not give them nitrogen after week 4 of flower? Keeping those big and main energy source of the plant alive and healthy and making tons of energy greatly outweighs any negative of giving nitrogen in flower, which in itself is basically a myth. You just dont want to give them a ton of it or too often.

I'm going by the Marijuana Horticulture book, but like anything else, there will be varying opinions. I would not give chemical nitro at this point. As I said in my post above, Organic nitrogen is fine. I'd spread worm castings on the top of soil and water in or make a tea. Chemical nitrogen will linger and give a foul taste I've read, but hey, like i said, there are going to be 1001 different opinions on anything related to weed. I'd use urine before FF nitro after 4 weeks.

Big bloom, Tiger, open sesame (pre and first two weeks), beastie blooms and Cha Ching. Going to start using black strap molasses as well, that i learned on this site.

Hey thanks for the reply's. 4 of my plants are in week 2-3 of flowering, and 6 of them just started last week. The ones that are experiencing the worst yellowing are the ones that have been flowering for longer. The reason I was flushing so much is because 8 are 7 gallon pots and 2 are in 15 gal pots. They still seem to be having lockout due to acidic soil PH and the tips are turning all black and the whole leaf is yellowing. That was why I was flushing so much, to bring the soil's ph up and stop the major burn.

I think I should be safe to add one little hit of veg nutes. Should I then give plain water for 2 feedings after the veg nutes and then give the bloom nutes at half strength, or is it the very next feeding after the veg nutes?

early on i do one and then the other the next time, after the stretch phase of flowering is over i'll only usually hit them a few more times with veg nutes before harvest time. sometimes only once depending on how they are doing.

Ok here is a current look at my plants. They have gotten a good lush green color back. The first picture is of the flowering trainwreck plant. The fan leaves all turned this color and dropped off, might of been cause of the flush?

I also added a new fan today, so I have 2 total, and tied down the tops of plants that were hitting the roof of the green house, you can see that in the last 2 pictures, the 2 in the very back are bent over.

Do these look pretty good to you? Do you think that the top colas being directly in front of the fan stunt their growth?

Thanks guys

they vegged out for about 7 weeks before the little armpit hairs started coming out. The one in the picture with all the little nugs on it has been vegging for about 2.5 weeks now, along with the other 3 that aren't dour diesel, and the SD's have only been flowering for about a week and are just now developing the buds.
