More significantly it's not unusual for RIU to drive a newbie away. I've seen this several times recently. Somehow something about the way the noob asks his question provokes an attack by one of the resident assholes here and then it's a cluster fuck with a whole gang putting the boot in almost always ending with the guy leaving.

There's a lot of bullying and nastiness mixed in with some very worthwhile conversations. IMO the mods need to reign this in.
