Some plants will have pink/purple stems all the time so it's really not indicative of any one thing tho can indicate some deficiencies but is just one part of any nutrient puzzle. But what about the pink/purple stems? Can that be also from excess nutes?
Plastic pots not clay... but why won't you recommend clay pots?Nutrient burn. It's ALWAYS nutrient burn. I've not seen any plant problem here so far that isn't nutrient burn.
Also, those had better not be clay pots. That's the WORST thing to grow in. If they're plastic, that's fine, but DO NOT use clay. Ever.
I think I can relax a bit now, I'll water them plain PHed water at 7, sit back and watch them closelySome plants will have pink/purple stems all the time so it's really not indicative of any one thing tho can indicate some deficiencies but is just one part of any nutrient puzzle.
My last grow had 4 strains all in the same soilless/soil mix and getting the same nutrients added. The OG#18 were purple all over but nothing on the others. Even the Purple Kush had all green stems and petioles.
Yellowing in later flower is normal for most plants that aren't overfed and the older leaves turn yellow, limp and soft. With toxic salts buildup the leaves turn hard and crusty, curl like yours are and feel thick.
I was recently reading about cutting the plants off and sitting them in a pail of water to finish like you do with those long stemmed roses you buy your sweetie every Valentine's Day. Change the water every day and force the plants to use up the nutrients stored in their leaves. I gotta try that with some plants grown in pots next time to see how it goes.
Getting back into DWC for most of my growing tho.
I am also curious.. I use fabric Root POuch containers, but have several houseplants ah hem chilling and they seem verY happy..Plastic pots not clay... but why won't you recommend clay pots?
Crappy soil. It looks heavy in clay.
Clay pots promote very fast water evaporation, especially in very warm temperatures. That's not good for marijuana plants at all. In fact, it can be very deadly as the root ball grows up next to the wall of the pot and are dry as a bone 5 minutes after you water them.Plastic pots not clay... but why won't you recommend clay pots?
