are you talking about the ozone gen?if so i don't know how they work i've never tried them but i'm sure others have make a post asking about them and you will got some better advice.

if your going to get an air cooled hood you can do this(see pic)this is my 4 inch duct booster fan i cool my light with ,and i made a filter for it out of one of the carbon prefilter they sell in walmart by the heppa filters.it was just a one size fits all thing that i wrapped around the fan on one side and a 4 inch duct cap on the other
