Ok, so which is it! Flower early, or let them grow big, then flower?

All I care about is getting the most, the best and the fastest way possible. I don't care how big and pretty my plants are. I want the most for my money. I keep hearing both sides of this arguement. I have read two books on growing and they both tell me to do the exact opposite.
Let me hear it from YOU. I have six verry bushy (volleyball sized) northern light younglings. Should I start flowering them sooner, or later for maximum yield....

It depends on your growroom. Is there enough room for them to grow more? Remeber they will still grow a little bit even in flower.

You say you have northern lights, how long is the flowering time for it?

Dont listen to books all the time personal experience will be your best guide sometimes, and things aren't the same for different people in different set ups.

Forget the books, other than money and time what are your arguements for both decisions?

if u want the fastest and have the room and seeds to do a bunch, like 30 or more plants i would do a 12/12 from seed grow, a sea of green or a screen of green, i been doing this the past few crops and i get a yeild in about every 9-10 weeks or so. won`t get alot per plant, i average about between 20-35 grams per plant but when u have like 50 or more in their just do the math.
if u want bigger of course let them veg for atleast a month beafore flowering, just really depends on your preference, but if i was you with your six plants i would wait for anywhere from a month to 2 1/2 month vegging then switch to flowering and you should get very nice yeilds

You sound extremely greedy, wanting the most, best, and fastest without putting forth the proper effort and time it takes to reach those goals. I say 10-12 week veg, then flower for the most. For fastest you need to go 12/12 from seed, but that kills the "most" aspect of it. As far as best, that just takes plain old time.The plant needs to mature properly before flowering, then be allowed to complete the flowering process, then be cut, dried and cured for the "best". Sounds like you don't want to, or don't have the time and patience to do any of these, so you can't get all three things you listed. Good luck.

not greedy man! Just wanting to get the best i can for my buck. I want to be able to get as much as i can, not concerned as much with doing it fast. Just don't want to waste any time. I've done enough of that in my life.

i vege for 10-12 weeks which is longer than average for indoor, but I yield atleast 300 to 500 grams per plant.

i would veg for 2 months ...

just make sure you have the right ingrediants, conditions and lighting to keep those leaves green ....

you need more plants to do sog. so yeah, a longer veg instead.
but here is the thing, are they clones or not? if they arent and normal seed, then you dont know the male/fem ratio.
vegging a male for 2 months is a bit much waste of space, future breeding intended or not.

might as well run these in veg for a bit longer, long enough to take clones, then put the plants into flowering to determine sex.

then, on the next run, decide on wether you want to go sog or more big plants and fewer (having seen how this strain grows and being able to make a more informed decision)
