Ok, that's it, I'm at a total loss!!!

Pic #1 exhibits multiple issues. One of the first signs of having a slight ph problem is, your plant having part of the leaves kind of twisty, brown spots , yellowish. Mainly starts on big fan leaves then goes to little leaves.
When this happens you need to check your soil ph. Check water ph before and after adding your nutrients. Nutes often lower the water ph.

When feeding 20-20-20 peters most leaf problems are ph related.
Cold night temps sometimes cause light colored tops.

You really don't have ready to grow "soil" because all you have is peat and sand. Jacks is mostly urea for N so I can't see how your mix can process the Urea. You need to either find a nitrate based fert or fortify your soil to truly become "soil" with potting soil of some kind (froggy maybe?) IMO

What this guy said. You are trying to grow soilless using soil fertilizer. If you don't want to use a nutrient soil, you need a complete hydroponic nutrient. You'll also be developing issues with calcium, magnesium and micros. That the plant made it this far on "junk food" is quite impressive. Mind you, in a nutrient and microbial soil the Jack's would work better. but i would seriously think about getting a hydro nute package, such as General Hydroponics Flora 3-part or perhaps Dyna Gro Veg and Cal-mag ... and feed the need. cn

I have been scouring the net, google images, these forum pages, other grow sites, charts, diagrams, deficient charts with pics.... and I'm literally sitting over here with sick pot plants floating around my head in circles beating me with clues but I'm green at growing and at a total loss.

With what I'm looking at here, and all the research I've done, I'm left thinking it's magnesium deficient, manganese deficient, over fertilized, under fertilized, under lit, and a whole slew of other CONFLICTING diagnoses.

Here's what I do know... I use natural spring water (there's a natural spring that runs year round up the road from me), I use Jack's Classic 20-20-20 1 1/2 Tbsp per two gallons of water every time I water, I have a pH meter and up/down kit and adjust accordingly, my soil is 8 parts peat moss, 4 parts sand, 2 parts perilite. I account for the fact that the peat moss will alkaline my water slightly after added to the soil, I use dummy meters to know when to water, I have two 65 watt CFL grow lights and 3 26 watt CFL's. More lights are coming as I get money. I also have a fan blowing, of course.

I'm at a total loss at this point. Every site I go to, every thread I read, conflicts with what the last one said. I went out tonight and bought epsom salts but I'm still not 100% sure that's what the deal is, but I'm leaning towards Magnesium deficient unless anyone else has any ideas?

The new growth WAS coming in nice and green, and the lower growth was messing up after a while... but now even the new growth is coming in pale green/yellowish/white'ish and even light brown!!!

I just don't get it

Go to this site for some FREE 4 oz pack of nutes: It is a powder and will do the trick. V&G

I am really liking this stuff. All the Macro/micros and fulvic aminos and silica.

If you are going to switch nutes, I would switch medium too. If you want something dead simple, switch to coco. If you use RO water, 1 tsp calmag, 1 tsp GH micro, 2 tsp GH bloom per gallon with every watering, you can't miss. I had some mothers in a peat based soil and that stuff is terrible after a couple of weeks. It compacts, doesn't hold water well. I don't know why anyone even uses it. I ended up vegging and flowering them and I moved them to coco.

Get some hydro nutes and get the ph under control 7+ is no good bro. Digital meter with ph up and ph down. Canna nutes almost always go in at 6.5 without adjustment ,saves a lot of time a fuckin lot of time.

Trying to fertilize every watering causes major salt buildup problems. If the new growth looks good flush well and leave alone for a week or so then go back to fert/water/water/fert or something to give em a break. Some great suggestions on soil in other posts
