Okay, here it goes 1st journal 2nd grow!

:hump: whats up folks! i posted a thread with some questions no one answered.? So I read on my own and this is what ive got... i will be posting the grow regularly... From the top: My seeds were saved over many years from great smoke...prup haze hermmie seeds no one wanted.....o well why not eh? im just an avid recreational smoker.. arent we all though..the seeds were paper towel style germs. 36 hours of humid darkness 74f to be exact.....well over 80% humidity. They, from the paper towel, went to starter cups... some solo some "bio-degradable" paper cups with organic soil i mixed and composted my self... the ingredients to that are secret..sorry...

they are starting under 4 26w1600lumes 6500K cfls' $4.68 @ "Lowes", roughly 2 inches away. I have a 10"x10" box fan with high, med, and low settings. A 33 gal. rubbermaid tub that i painted flat white on inside two holes cut at both ends for ventilation. I am watering with bottled water cause 24 pack was onsale for 4$. reverse osmos shiznit.....

I dont have anypics of sprouting, on account i couldnt find my frigin camera! so when i did find it its been day 5 since they broke ground..... hope i can help someone or tag team this with other newbs... enjoy all....

Okay here it is next day.. day 6 since the ground breaking event!! they have a skunk smell already an you can see the purp forming on the leaves...... comments welcome....

:shock: Right on. they seem to be growing at a successful rate, good development already. Since this being my first journal, and seeing as how im not only doing it for your entertainment but for my "reference" for future grows. Something to reflect on. Am i being detailed enough along the way....if not someone please tell me my fuck ups... only way i seem to learn is hard way..trying to avoid that scenario in this case.... and always comments welcome...:peace:

thanks bro... its amazing how much you learn in just one grow.. im postin pics tonight of the 12 hour of growth ALREADY.. my lighting set up is on 16 on 8 off.. imo they need the rest.. be back for more later....

Hey those are looking really good. Hey im growing a white rhino (though it was purple erkel) and its a hermie and im still flowering her..im proud. Ready to smoke. Your girls are looking great though guy. Seems like you know what ya doin ^^. What are you using to flower? Ive been using cfls hole grow just lots of LST, maybe you should look into it?

Oh and when you planted them did you use a humidity tent type method to come up or just placed them under light after they had sprouted (white tip) without a tent.

Lookin good man,they look healthy! ive got some babies too, they're about 2 weeks old and in my tupperware growbox with some others, take a look

we had them in a humidity tent for a short time, maybe one got a better start for some reason

my plants are on 20/4 (timing got kinda mixed up and we decided just to leave it to avoid stress) , ive always heard that the vigorous growth that is triggered by up to 24 hours of light is beneficial to the total veg time and the hormone release in the plants. whatever you pick will work, just stick with one setting to avoid stress.

u know ur babies best but maybe think about increasing to 18 light hours ??

Thanks for the replys guys... Yes, i did have them under humidity dome for there first week.... from what my temp/humidity gauge said it was 79-80f and 100% humidity... my first grow i left the lights on 24/0 and the 12/12 forced flowering and i havent noticed a difference with this grow...... i am/ will be flowering with 42w 2700k cfls' ive been looking in to HPS.. i can find the light no problem its the ballast i cant get a hold of... some "buds" of mine use HPS for flowering and WOW i likes!!

great pics.. gotta love the BUSH huh!! yeah im not sure what the deal is but i have a couple that really grew past the others.. ive done nothin different... im thinkin they have the characteristics of males... seems last grow the males hurried up and sacked out before the females.. right on though ... keep up the good work

:joint: Greetings fellow farmers! Well this is day 8. The transplant seems to have been successful. I'm beggining to think the smell is going to skunk the whole flippin place up. They already smell fresh.. no complaints! enjoy:peace:


I feeling like drinkin for celabration! 6 er of Stella Artios sounds right!:spew:

yea my box is really startin to stink now :), i also wish i could round up an hps system, but i know i want a digital ballast that runs hps and mh so i gots to save a little cash before i do that, how many watts total do u use? and how was your last grow? ive got 180 total in my box, its 8 20 watt's and imma switch the temp to flower, does that sound right?

My last grow went well.. The only problem was, I started with 7 plant and only ended up w/1.... it was a damn good one though I guess thats what happens with bag seeds!! I want to get a lil better before i out-right buy seeds..

Yeah im not to worried about HPS as of this point. Yes, you are right about the kelvin rating. I use 6500 for Veg
and will go to 2700 come time to bud. My wattage is 208. I have 8 x 26 watt cfls'. i have a feeling they are going to need much more real soon though.....

If I may....Blue for veg and red for flower right? Right. BUT when you say that you have got to realize that FULL SPECTRUM light is best for veg AND flower. When people use red or blue its only because they cant use both. MH gives blue light, HPS gives red light. They dont make (to the best of my knowledge) full spectrum HID lights. Thats why everyone talks about using one or the other (blue or red) for veg or for flowering. But ideally you ALWAYS want full spectrum (red AND blue). But If you're growing with CFL's you dont have to choose. A 6500k CFL is much closer to full spectrum (like sunshine) light. So you dont want to "switch" from 6500K to 2700K light for flower. You want to "add" 2700K bulbs to your 6500k (full spectrum daylight) bulbs. Am i making any sense here?? Just trying to help. Grow on....:)

whats the deal with the plant that has the skinny ass leaves? is it pure sativa?.. i dont know cause they are all bagseeds..... whatch y'all think... i found some fox farm.. is it worth the investment?....:peace:
