I know I arrived in Alaska at midnight. Like most people flying here. Next day I was blown away from Anchorage. Chugach Mountains right there covered in snow. Frigging moose everywhere in the city. It was April before the clouds cleared enough that I saw Denali from the old Glenn Highway between Eagle River and Butte. Incredible place.
Jumping in here maybe a bit late but if you have still in AK there is a domed scenic train that runs from Anchorage to Denali and is an about a four hour ride one way with spectacular scenery and you can concentrate on looking rather than driving. I highly recommend. You can probably stay in Denali (glitter gulch) overnight and do a bus tour into the park while you’re there.

I live near Nenana now and right by the train tracks. The prices for the train are ridiculous. I would ride it if they realistic. Are you up here?

No, I would live there in the summer though lol.

We did the inside passage cruise and three days in Denali. It was SPECTACULAR!.

Got to see a pod of whales bubble netting, in the top five majestic things I think I will ever see in my life.

I live fairly close to Denali. It’s a lot less populated on this side of the Alaska Range. If you ever get back up this way give a shout. Come up in winter to see the Northern Lights.

Man, we landed in Anchorage in June of 2021, jumped in an RV and went North, then South all the way to Homer over a 12 day period... the scenery will godsmack you right in the face. We saw so many eagles, bears, moose, humpback whales, sea lions, orcas, a couple of famous glaciers... it was fantastic!...The drive through the Seward Hwy is so damn beautiful... going back this July.

They have one running out of Fairbanks to Denali. I used to go moon it. Every Sunday. 10:00 at the Minto Flats crossing near my house.
I took that shot in I think .. Talkeentna (sp?) would have been slightly North of Anchorage.. great little spot. I heard it coming , and I grabbed my camera. Heavy edit on it, but,.. that's what I do for a hobby.

I welcome anyone's comments or insights into my finished product. It is still in the drying phase but I have some bud that is dry that I will take pics of and share. Let me switch to my phone and I will post pics.
