If the roots run out of room to grow tho, the plant will stop growing and you'll have a little beer cup sized plant until you harvest.
yet again not true, plant size depends on root mass but it also depends on how efficiently the root system works. in soil it usually takes more root mass to get bigger plants because they dont get fed everyday because of overwatering problems and such. in hydro mediums, plants get watered one or several times a day and can uptake nutrients very effectively every time they are watered. so my point is you can have more plant with less roots if you know how to feed them right.

Yeah, replant them whenever. If the roots become bound, I'm pretty sure it'll just stunt growth. Just be careful with the plant and I find it's easier to do it when the soil's wet because it's stays together better. I'd cut all the way down the side of the cup, then about a quarter of the way around it, then put my hand on the top of the soil, turn it over and the whole thing should easily come out.

Okay, now you're just splitting hairs because I was arguing with you. Obviously the plants health depends on how well the root mass functions, that's common sense.

true i was splitting hairs. but some beginners tend to think that they need huge rootmass when really more important is to keep those roots working right

I think that outdoor and indoor are two different beasts, again, I could be wrong though, I've never tried 12/12 all the way myself.
