Gooeybreeder is very well known.
He's the old hermit type that lives in the hills and wakes up everyday ready to crack & cull. Been around a long long time.
He posts to IG but i don't use that anymore.
Norstar seeds of California could also answer more of your questions than I can

Thats bullshit about sam. I did get info on the omh flower time and theres no shitty skunkman muddiness in the Mendo. Nothing but sales tactics and made up stories from his nutswingers

The SantaCruz thats being passed around now isn't an heirloom but a newer worked haze that also leans asian. Used by kiona & friends.

On another tip i just dropped some freebie McCormick Lombo in cups to flower out tiny just for samples. If anything seems interesting I'll reveg or buy some.

Todd's can be great, but it can also be not so great. I've found extremely potent plants in there, but also really weak ones too. If you want Tom's, he's over on OG quite frequently, and is currently making a new batch of seeds. It's probably going to be limited though, so you know... let's try to keep it between haze heads. So far Todd's is the only one I've gotten Frankincense off of, but it's very hit or miss. BTW, even Tom basically says, if it doesn't come from Sam originally, it's not Haze. And Todd's and Toms, both of which come from Sam originally, can flower 16-20+ weeks, just so you are aware. Stop listening to haters who don't even know what they are talking about.

I don't have instagram to see the Instagram of a hermit lol.Indeed it doesn't look much like skunkhaze,more like NL5haze or oghaze hybrid.But thats just a closeup pic.

Your beter off checking kangas out. His was collected from mendo in the late 80s-early 90's and kept intact.
Alot of them old guys in the triangle have had skunk#1 in their strains but they dont like to admit it. Even gooeys flagship strain the seeds he sells are half skunk#1.
Phylos cant give a full picture of a strains genetics from one clone wich is a tiny tiny sample of the genetics from one strain, there system isn't very good, and is floored. It was just a way for them to get a genetic print of lots of things so they could try to sell the information. But they didnt understand everything fully and their system wasn't very good. They had to resort to breeding themselves but even that didn't get them too far.

I dont think the lemon. Side in og comes from lemon thai. I thought that old guess of the genetics went out the window. Og was found to be from one of nevils nl x hindu kush wich got crossed to one of the mendo strains. I know sssc were selling some of nevil's hybrid and seeds hemade with his haze, they had the south african and they had a couple of the old original Afghan hazes nevil had made. Someone I know was given a Afghan/mazar x haze as a original haze by them back in 88-90.
Anyway clearly mendo haze is a hybrid. When kanga and nevil were testing it, as a parent that passes on high quality haze traits it never made the mark.
