It seems its not ALL white people who take such offense ... its the young, brainwashed, falsely idealistic youth of today. Our government indoctrination centers (public schools) have done their jobs well Im afraid.
Only politically correct speech is allowed ... and that speech aligns perfectly with the misguided thinking of the secular left.

FYI, public secondary schools actually keep the discussion pretty balanced. The last thing a teacher or an administration wants is more pissed parents calling and complaining about little Johnny. Universities don't have to talk to parents, so a professors politics are generally well known.

Sadly, I've found more intelligent discourse here than I find at the local bar (which has a few Republicans, but a lot of clueless Democrats that can't argue their positions with out resorting to saying that Bush is an idiot, that it's wrong for me to call Clinton, Obama and Carter, an idiot, and that Global Warming has been proven with massive amounts of support from climatologists.

Yes, I received a warning from GK via PM, which I find ironic, because I've also been a "victim" of GK's political biases in this forum as well. These people definitely do not stand for freedom ... they are anti-freedom.

No, most of the ones dedicated to me have been burners, lots of pissed off repukes and libs, i guess. Hey, I'm just an old hippie that sees the world as fucked up and am looking for a better way. I have no need to expand the government services that I enjoy, but don't want them to dissapear for future generations either. We need to take care of our own first. If that means a little more bureaucracy, so be it.Shit, and I thought this was a thread dedicated to medicineman.

For some reason you seem to think that keeping things as they are can equal even more bureaucracy. Don't you think that bureaucracy is going to require funding? Could it be possible that, being finite in population and cash, the People who are being "served" by these bureaucracies might suffer from increased administration costs? Why do you think HMOs are so fucked up for people paying through the nose, yet being denied services? Or do you not....

Yes I do. I want to do away with for profit medical. I mean I'd leave all the private doctors alone, they could fend for themselves or join the national health care system. Here's how I'd work that: Hospitals and doctors could bill the government for services, services studied and deemed reasonable. Private people could still pay outrageous prices for their medical, they would not be forced to join. But all HMOs would be disbanded, Private Medical insurance would be disbanded, except a few companies for the rich. The employees and employers would pay a tax predicated on how much the system would cost, and every Dr. visit, specialist visit, or hospital stay would be free, no out of pocket. Employers that pay for their employees insurance now, would save a bundle. Private people that pay for insurance and co-pays would save a bundle, and basically, medical would be free when you needed attention. There are a few bugs to work out and all you rich guys could just go ahead and pay for your services, I'm sure there would be a few Dr.s that would opt out and charge big bucks, but the rest of us would have no more worries on how we are going to pay for medicalNice contradictions!
