wtf? ok, here's the story. Mango's 7 weeks into flower, bubbleponics and a 400watt hps was running gh nutes with the ff bloom enhancers. Ran out of gh. No prob. Running straight cha ching then about a week ago i started using mollassas, no problems, 2 days ago cahnged res water, did everything like i was except 1 thing. I added some ff big bloom too, figured wtf. Anyway looked at the girls this morning and some leaves were drying up and curling, hmm. Checked my ph that was fine, but my water is really cloudy and it looks like i used battery acid instead of water. So, is it the big bloom or the mollassas? changing out the water gonna let em drink that for a couple days. But does anyone know? i read the argument about mollassas in hydro but tried out anyway. nothing was wrong till the big bloom looks like its eating my roots.

i would say the mollasses is the culprit. i added some to my plants at about 6-7 weeks and it made my roots go to shit. had to harvest early. no more mollasses for me. EVER!

oh man, i have at least 2 or 3 weeks left on these, i don't want early smoke! i kinda suspect big bloom myself, idk. It happened overnight practically, just put the big bloom in on sat. Mollassas been in there for a week. Either way those are the only 2 things i can think of. So they wont be used again! till i go outdoors. What about cutting the lights back to 10 a day to try to get the to ripen sooner? i read that in an old book yesterday. Maybe they're not too far gone yet, i'll change the water and see what happens

Indeed. Why anyone, in their right mind, would add molasses to a reservoir is beyond me.

Umm yeah, that would be the proliferation of bacteria, care of copious amounts of sugar contained in the molasses.

Words of wisdom: NEVER ADD SUGAR TO A RESERVOIR

This should be a good example to never use mollases in hydro.

Molasses is used in soil to promote microbial growth to help with the "breakdown" process of organic nutrients into usable nutrients for the plant to uptake. Hydro nutrients are pre-refined to be readily available for the plant, thus no need for any "breakdown."

i pitched the small one a couple days ago but i don't know what to do with the other 2. The leaves are about gone, the bud leaves are still there but they are pretty crispy about 1/2 way into the bud. The buds are hanging in there, not drying up yet. I turned the lights back to 8hrs a couple days ago to see if that will help ripen them a little quiker, idk if it does but i read it in an old ed rosenthal book. They went from using a gallon a day to a quart. You guys think it will do any good to try and keep these going? i don't want to harvest a couple weeks early, i already screwed up the yield, i don't want to screw up the buds. So expert opinions wanted, what should i do with these? slam them into darkness for 48hrs and chop or try to keep them going and keep an eye on the bud leaves? can i keep them going until the bud leaves dry almost to the buds as long as the buds don't dry?
