i think im about ready to flower... i have only really applied 1 dose of n-p-k besides a little superthrive and might try to flower in a week or so if its ready. how many times would a small style plant really need to be nuted on average for a healthy plant before the 12/12 switch, 1 or twice? more?

all depends on your set up.
if your soil is super amazing you would rarely have to apply nutes but they do help dont get me wrong.
but if you use hydroponics they are a good example of why we add nutes. because no soil medium.
plants grow all the time w/o using nutes the soil just has to be rich and you have to use the sun.
if you dont use the sun then i suggest you add nutes

as many as you want?? theres no # of times. ive grown great looking plants with no nutes at all. nutes will help with size. but you can get great stuff without them. add molasses!! 1 tbs per gallon of water!! it will give it a sweettaste and some would say more yield??? how long have you vegged???

it depends on the plant, strain, and setup...
some strains need a lot of nutes to grow... some not so much... there isnt an average really.. if your plants have grown fine with only 1 application then thats all it needs... the girls i have need a ton of nitrogen during veg so i added nutes everytime i watered... but now in flowering i only add nutes every other time...
its way to hard to answer this question with any accurate statement... like i said... its mainly up to the plant and its needs.... as long as your plant is happy and healthy then thats all the nutes it needs...
