Once somebody snitches, what is the next step?

Let's say you sell someone an 1/8th or maybe even a half-ounce of the herbs. On their way home, they get pulled over and caught. For that low amount, do cops even start questioning where they got it from or do they need over an ounce before cops try finding out that info?

If the person says they got it from you, what will the cops then do?

cops will always ask where they got it from. under 2 oz its a misdemeanor an as long as there not to fucked up they could just get an apperence ticket. depending on what that person said to the cop will determen the action( like if they bought it from you, how much you have, if your growing, other drugs you my have). if they cant get enough info for a warrent then the cop will most likely be watching the house and fallowing people who leave. if you find word that someone snitched on you. lay low. close down shop for a little bit. dont have alot of people comming around the house. parties are a sure thing to get cops over. if theres a noise complant then they'll come and check things out looking for a reason to search the house( like the smell of weed)

depending on the State. In Michigan under 1/2 oz they dont care and dump it out or throw it in the river. But its your word against his and he has already been busted. DENY DENY DENY!!!!

Thanks for the info! I'm not g2 go out and say this is me but no one is ever at the residence. The place is clean inside and out and maintained. Loud music isn't played.No attention attracted. No smells coming from the place. Transactions all done usually at the person's place. These people don't know shit about what is going on other than that they just got a bag of some bomb shit. Can a cop get a warrant just from someone saying they got it from so and so? The residence being monitored would suck but wouldn't be a problem. Nothing in the trash or attention-drawing.

police dont get warrents just for one bag. they either do it whens they know there was alot of weed like a pound or so or if they know guns or other drugs are involved. they dont like to waste there time by raiding a place for an 1/8. also to get a warrent they need someone to go on record saying they know you have drugs at your place. and then they have to convince a judge that there is "reasonable suspicion" to search. a judge will look really bad if he signs off on to many warrents that dont confiscate drungs or lead to convictions.

im a criminal justice major and i wouldnt be to worried if i were you. as long as it dosnt happen to many time. just try not to deal with people who snitch( which is really hard to cause people dont want to go to jail)

Well, multiple 1/8ths. Usually no more than a half-o at a time. Yeah, I believe most people would snitch to save themselves. These 3 ppl that are dealt with don't know my "friend" good enough to have any idea what goes on at his residence. There's no reason to think they would snitch but just the fact anything could happen makes me want to seek estimated answers on what could happen.

The thing about snitching is that in the discovery stage the snitch will be listed by name and that name will be given to the defendant. So in other words, if you snitch, the guy who you fingered is going to know who it was. The best defense against the cops is to say NOTHING!!!
