One girl, one boy, hard time letting go.

First time dwc grow. I had four bag seeds at the start. I started two each in separate five gallon buckets. Now that I flipped a couple weeks ago I found out that one in each bucket is a boy and the other two are girls. So I chopped the boy in the one bucket and got rid of the roots but the other reservoir was a different story. The female and male have entangled roots and are pretty wrapped up. I cut the plant before it released any pollen for my girls but now I am stuck with this problem. Do I cut the roots I can without damaging the girl and watch for decay in the remaining disconnected roots or do I leave it like it is for now? Any advice would.be appreciated.PHOTO_20210515_214929.jpg

im not so sure, it could be a srvival mecanism to keep the straingoing, plantd are very clever and comunicate by the roots i think, but they do comunicate or there would be a loads of males in a grow say with tai grass, it has seeds but its still a viable crop, i sy dont be to hasty. if im wrong and it herms on you at best i say
