one of my plants looks close to done...6weeks n 2 days.

Everyday I look at this plant it looks more "finished"....its got so much frost on it it doesnt even look real....the hairs are more than 50%orange...more like 70% orange ...calyxes swollen as shit...and the buds just have this overall golden tint to em...i scoped em out n all cloudy n actually saw 1 or 2 amber here n there...could it be ready at just over 6weeks??....same plant same strain next to it is not as far long n is same age....looks about a week behind ripeness wise...20121209_120044.jpg.20121209_120056.jpg20121209_120114.jpg....think another week or more?

Took one last nite...ha...gonna let it dry properly tho....so 20121208_084425.jpgit'll be a few days...20121208_102219.jpg...there's a thick layer of trichomes all over the whole bud area ....it's ridiculous ...20121208_101038.jpgima.try to at least let it go 8weeks20121208_122338.jpg ...I've never seen so many crystals...ima have ALOT of kief:)))

Looks a little early yet, but if you want to hurry the dry a bit, what I did last time, was put a couple little ones like that on the vent on top of my monitor, and they were ready that night.

I see the tips browning but No yellowing. The "hairs" are turning red-good sign. The real way to tell peak ripeness is by examining the trichome opacity. They will generally turn from clear to milky to amber. It is widely agreed that when about half of the Trichomes have turned amber, it is at peak ripeness. (you need a magnifying glass to determine) There are some respected growers that claim there is a difference in the effect depending on the state/color of trichomes but I can't tell a difference. A wise man once told me,"When you think they are ready, wait another week."

....I like that...I've scoped em n they're milky white to cloudy...n I've seen the yellowing ur talking about too but didn't know what to think...I'm gonna at least give em 8.

If that were my plant I would be worried that it got pollinated somehow. Hairs turning brown prematurely and swollen calyx's could mean you have seeds.
