Hey everyone,im in need of some serious guidance here.my mom was admiring my little plant I have going and she went to spread the tops apart to look at it and it split right down the middle.I tapped it up in hopes that it'll repair itself but i need a more experienced opinion the picture im posting is minutes before it happened

So just keep an eye on her and hope she doesn't hermie out?
it's young, you shouldn't have to worry about herm. the stalk will heal (though it won't 'grow back', and taping was a good call. i'd remove the tape after a week if it can support itself. that will help promote healing and hardening.

wheres the rest of the plant? are you defoiliating?..mmm....
Its actually my first grow,no experience at all.but all the lower leaves were slowly yellowing and getting hardly any light so over the course of 2 weeks I clipped all the growth under where the plant splits

first tip..the plant gets its energy from its leaves..even yellowing leaves are bringing energy, the plant is feeding on itself then..unless its diseased or pest ridden, dont defoliate..
your plant will most probably heal fine,id support each half with some stilts of somesort..wether the stress causes problems in the future remains to be seen..good luck..

Shes just some good bag seed I got,it wasn't the stereotypical brick weed but hard dense lil nugs that I got lucky enough to find 3 seeds in out of a 8 g bag,and the yellowing of the leaves were from the nutes I had.they were these time release little BB ferts,i guess it wasn't releasing at a fast enough rate.finally solved that by just throwing them In a pill grinder and turning it to powder

Don't want to butt in but if he was defoliating due to yellowing leaves then shouldn't he increase his nutes?

yikes! those ferts are not well suited for growing mj at all!..i urge you to invest in something simple like jacks classic ferts and pro mix hp for dirt..30 bucks and you will have no worries as far as feeding..those time release pellets ground up will probablh hurt your plant..think of grinding up a painpill vs eating one..hits you quicker, but with plants, quicker and more is mot allways better...

54 days? seems kinda small. What type of light are you using? Also seems like your growing medium is a bit large for that size of plant, I have much better results with keeping the container and plant at similar sizes, develops a more established rootball and prevents overwatering/nutrient lockup

i was assuming the yellowing leaves were burnt looking at the tips of the others, not yellowing due to deficiencies...
