one plant 2 lights over kill

i wanna cut down on my # of plants so im gonna break down my 400 watt tent and just run both my 600 and 400 in one tent 4.5 x 4.5 x 5 would this be over kill or what
 
1000w isn't over kill for that space but may be for one plant! As long as you can keep your room cool it is up to you brotha. There is such a thing of too much light but I don't think 1000w is too much.
 
yea i can keep the heat down with both lights runing would still be able to keep it down around 75-80 while the lights are one so thats cool also wont be in hydo will be in coco 5 gal containers my max is 5 plants but i dont wanna have 5 just lookin for a lb dry
 
If I were you I would run both HPS and MH if they are switchable balast, just as a test for yourself. I don't do Hydro or coco, I am a FFOF guy! ;) I would go for it and see if the plant can handle it and if not kill off the 400.
 
i love the ff stuff i still use the nutes with my coco just the coco is cheaper but deff better to have during flowering maybe i'll run 2 - 4 big trees got some bigbudxwhite widows coming thats what ima run

If you ran 4 trees in that space they would blow the fuck up with that amount of light! LST is good, and check out this pic of an LST plant,

Those aren't mine it was a grower on this site but of course it would take years of practice to learn how to get them like that! But no time like the preasent!
 
i deff can dig it lol damn thats alot of cfls i started under them til i upgraded and than upgraded again i still use them in my veg cab though wonder what hes pullin off thoes 2 plants
 
I wish I had the other pics of his grow but he has two HID lights in there with the cfl's! I think he was running an HPS and MH light with all those cfls. Just wanted to show you what LST can put out! I saw that and tried LST and failed! LOL But I will try again some time. I am thinking about 4-6 oz off each plant at least!
 
yea id be happy with 4 off each plant actually my seeds arrived today got wwxbb gonna start them over the weekend veg for 5 weeks their fem so we'll see how this goes just tryna think should i go bigger than a 5 gal pot
 
thanks yea im moving everything into the one flower room under the 600 still got 5 weeks to go so they will be going under the 400 for the first 5 weeks of veg
 
just started some blue satilite 2.2 only did 5 and 1 fem wwxbb as soon as they fully germ and sprout then ima start a grow journal and get this show on the road

Yeah it'll be fine IMO.

I have two 600w hps in my grow tent (4x4x6) and they work great! It is my flowering room tho...

I have 5 plants in there in 3 gallon (UK) buckets and they're very big and bushy! Alot bushier than anything in smaller pots.
 
dont think this one is gonna happen just took about 9 clones of papaya got another 600 coming tearing down my self made tent and gettina a 6x6 tent gonna toss both 600 in there for flowering gonna shut down my 400 and just have veg done with cfls my wwxbb mums wont be ready for cloning for another 8 weeks peace
 
1 PLANT CAN BE BIG ENOUGH FOR ANY LIGHT SETUP. given the proper Pot size, and Veg time. you could LST a VINE that is 6x6 for a few months. then sog it.. would need a 18gal pot but that would be win
