one plant per light!

You might have missed his post in the first page, but it was a mother for 8 months before putting her in flower.

Yeah, he really did a good job. My og kush outgrew her pot after vegging a little over 2 months and she really started getting deficient; I was forced to transplant in flower but still wound up getting lucky and pulling a little over 10 o's, plus about 3 ounces of great trim and scraggle bud for wax.

I'll guarantee that plant pulls more than 8 o's (you mentioned that a couple weeks ago so you might be sure now it'll be more) but she looks like she's getting ready to swell up real nice. Looks sticky as shit too.

My plants wind up coooovered in crystals, but never quite get super sticky. Its like a dry sticky, not that sticky icky that yours seems to have.

Had mine under a thousand watt tho, and I wound up transplanting into a 2/3 full 20 gallon tote a couple weeks into flower.

Holy mother of god, 8 months? No wonder she is forming buds so well across the board.
She has had quite the time, and well over, to form stable and plenty of roots. Not to mention the stem looks like tree bark.
No doubt you'll be pulling more than 8oz.
I'm just a little surprised at how well she filled up.
Also, 20 gallons? How much did the soil cost alone? I have a had time wanting to grow a ton of plants because it cost me around $15 per 5 gallon grow bag.

When you say the stem looks like tree bark are you talking about his space bomb or my og? All of mine always wind up with great stalks.

But yeah, the 20 gallon tote was only about 2/3 full, I used a bag of fox farms and mixed it with a bag of $1.50 dirt (that was basically a bag of red clay) mixed with a ton of perlite to tone down the nitrogen in the fox farms. That's one reason my leaves stayed green so long into flower. Bud turned out great tho!

I haven't had space bomb in a looong time, his looks great.

Ive grown some huge plants in ten gallon pots. But it looks like he has it in like a three to five gallon container.I dont know how the plant holds itself up under such a small container. It should be falling down.
His next grow should be a four ounce plant in a solo cup..WTF?BIG PROPS TO YOU.

Yes sir, I did read the first post but I thought this was a different plant,

Thor that first picture in YOUR post looks amazing. if you don't mind sharing, besides the two month veg, could you tell what else you did to get your plant looking like that?

thor that og looks giggety, i also noticed the stems looked like galdalfs staff! og's always tend to have that bark like texture on the stems i think they come from a woody family. i'd be very happy with 10oz to be honest.i

was running 3 gardens and using this tent as my mother/ cutting tent so i had a jtr, spacebomb and a cheese mother, i always keep the plants in as small a pot as possible for as long as possible, in coco it really isn't hard to do, so long as you keep adding the a+b the plants stay healthy, i very rarely get plants showing ill health because they are rootbound. the only problem i had with this run is around 3-6 weeks in i had to water it twice daily as it was in the main building phase when they get really thirsty, it has slowed down a bit now so only getting a gal a day which is ok.

so it got to the point where the spacebomb had bushed out so much that it had begun to grow into the other plants, normally when this happens i take a snip and then kill the mother off starting the process over. i recently got a more permanent spot for keeping mother plants so i figured i woud do something i am normally against by flowering out the big mom rather than kill her. i normally have bad experience flowring mothers and usually i wouldn't recommend it, the growth is very un-even and the lack of stretch makes all the weight of the plant occur in the mid region, this results in shit quality meds generally and also makes canopy management a pita.

this space bomb is a very smart plant, i've not seen anything like it. it fills every space you put it in, it grows more horizontally than vertically (usually a bad trait) but it supports its self pretty well and still produces nice big colas. it doesn't yield as well as it may look though, if this were cheese i would estimate 18oz from this but the buds just don't weigh anything as all of the weight is resin. it is a sticky resin and i have learned that if you make it so it isn't too close to the light and the fans aren't blowing directly on to the buds the resin will stay very tacky indeed.

for those who asked, i did nothing to this plant except support it once it got to 3 weeks in 12/12, the plant does the rest. it is in a 5gal pot but really should have been in a 10+ i just had no coco at the time lol!.

It was actually vegged for probably a little over 2, probably 2 and a half. And honestly man, I really think that as a beginning grower (I had 6 plants my first run, I have a pretty big harvest in flower now so technically this og was all by itself in my second run) the thing that has helped me out the most has been just getting lucky with genetics. My first run I ran 4 bagseed and a bubba kush and white widow. The white widow wasn't all that impressive but the bubba kush could've been the cover of high times. The bagseed was decent, but nothing like this og or the bubba.

My soil grows are (almost) 100% organic; I use fox farms (and lately been using Scotts with similar results for 1/3 of the price) and smart pots, and I use the full roots organic line from aurora. Its organic nutrients that you treat like hydro nutes, mixing with water when you feed. They also have dry additives that help out like the super nitro bat guano. I add in gh's Koolbloom bulking formula for flower to help give the weight a synthetic boost.

I think the main thing is how you train your plants. This og was stretchy so it kind of topped itself and wound up with tons of tops, but I fimmed it early on and then cut a couple more tops, it was supposed to have like 12 or 14 tops but like I said a lot of branches acted like tops too.

But yeah, I just keep them healthy through veg (which I like to do for at least 8 weeks-- seems to work out better for me) and then start packing the nutes on in flower. I follow simple things like making sure there is enough co2 and light at the leaves, and plenty of o2 at the roots. (I use tap water, and let it sit for 24 hours in a bucket with an air stone). After training in veg, the more I leave them alone the better they seem to do. I transplant a couple of times, and try to always transplant 2 weeks before flower so the roots have space to support the buds.

I've got 5 huge white lavenders running now; I'm hoping to pull over 1 gram per watt this next harvest. I also have a new (ish) aeroponic setup that has a blue dream, a cotton candy, a desert diesel, and a purple wreck and I can't wait to see how they turn out. And I finally have my clones rooting so I don't have to keep losing these good strains.

And ghb, thanks for the tips, I'm gonna see if I can try and get that stickiness with mine. I've had a couple bagseed that turned out really sticky, but still striving to turn my trich-covered plants into buds that can pass the wall test (you know, when someone asks if its any good and you just stick a bud to the wall) lol

The best way to create more resin content and potency is to reduce temps at lights out at least 15 F.The other if you can, is to drop humidity levels when lights are off to around 30 to 35%.Have humidity levels when lights are on at 50%. Lower humidity levels create more resin. The plants natural response to cold is resin to protect itself from the cold. The plants natural response to low humidity levels is more resin to try and hold moisture within itself. If you have to low a humidity level when lights are on you will not get bud development to its fullest potential.

15F? That would kill your plants easy.

I think you mean C*

On a side note, I can confirm about the low humidity. I've been doing that for about 5 years now and even did a personal side by side.
Had a tent in one room with Humidity from 40-50% lights on and 50-75% lights off.
Another tent in another room with low humidity lights on 10-20% lights off 20-35% and the resin was a ton more, especially during the early weeks of flower.
The one with high humidity didn't show sugar coated leaves till about week 3-4. The one with lower humidity was like it snowed on it by week 2.

Now personally I keep my humidity around 16% (Where it stops registering lowering humidity) and up to at least 40% with lights off but temps go down to 55-60F

Fucken awesome description thank you.

What is the total cost of your nute program per watering or plant?

If you have humidity levels that low with lights on you are losing production BIG TIME.

Junker, the roots organic master pack is only $40, and it was basically a perfect amount for 6 plants for 1 run (I had 1 huge plant, 2 medium sized and 3 small plants). I didn't use the kool bloom the first run bc the master pack comes with "big swell", a synthetic flowering nute. I switched to the kool blood. Bc my grow store didn't have the big swell. So its less than $10 a plant for one run I guess.

Since then I've gotten all of the things from the master pack (minus the amino aide bc I use botanicares vitamino, it is similar and I use it for my aero grow) in the quart size, I also picked up the "surge" but not sure if its making a difference. What I've been doing lately, is feeding organic through veg, and then in flower I alternate feedings between organic/synthetic. Its a lot easier to burn, but if you watch the plants and see how they respond and adjust accordingly it has AMAZiNG results. I'm definitely due for my biggest harvest ever here on my third crop, hoping its more than double my first grow.

40 bucks, maybe i will try some of that. I have a 20 dollar bottle of fox farms " big bloom " . I want to try that also. I have been running M.O.B and its a good plant but i only average 2.5 oz a plant. I would like to see 4 oz per. I only do a basic grow. 6 plants under a 1000 watt light. I veg for one month. this will be my fifth grow so far. I got my med card last year and have not been experimenting much.I want to at least get a consistant grow before i kill any of em lol. I do super crop but I have yet to " top " a plant and will be doing that next set of clones.

i have taken her before anywhere from 58-64 days and at 64 days it was really stony.

i've got plenty of smoke around at the minute so i won't be rushing things. it has stopped growing hairs really, they take a long time to change colour too, even at 64 there were still white ones.

if i take it too far the resin will start to dry out, i like them nice and sticky with intact heads if i can.

Can you explain why or how? I'd personally like to know.

My humidity has been like this for a few grows and some grows I don't have that humidity but I have never had a issue with production.
