4 out of 4 seeds I started to germ yesterday have popped and are going in ph'ed rockwool and into the thunderdome. Also an updated pic of the little one's progress.

As far as the DWC system goes I am one 1/4 inch tee connector, and 1.5 ft of 1/4 in tube away from finishing. Tested the top feed I made and it worked flawlessly with no leaks! It is starting to come together.

Here are the cubes in the humidity dome. Set them up on net pots to help avoid early seedling stretch. The cubes were soaked in 5.5 ph water with low concentrations of kelp extract, pro-tekt by dyna-gro and dyna-gro grow formula. I use well water as it contains good trace minerals but no chlorine.

And they're off! All four seedlings have broken the top of the rockwool (though 3 are a bit farther along than other).

And in other news the 4 way LST is working nicely. I give it another day or two and she will get one more topping.

Seedlings have roots out the bottom of the rock wool and will go in the rdwc tonight. I have them in the humidity dome on top of some moist hydroton in the meantime (read while I'm at work). I'll post pics when they're in.

So I delayed putting the seedlings in the system as I need to find some domes that will fit my net pot. One seedling is showing vigor over the others and has already produced a decent sized second set of true leaves. My dome is a tad tall for my to setup which I think has contributed to a little stretch but it is manageable.

The plant in soil is doing OK it has shown pretty vigorous foliage production but has small brown spotting on a few leaves. Ivery been checking the undersides of the leaves for mits and have not seen any. I suspect a slight calcium deficiency and added a little nutes with calcium. Runoff ph is 6.9-7.0 so it would seem the microbes are still buffering ph.

Cut them top inch and a half off my pot to bring them sides down to soil level and allow my plant ample room to spread out. A few of them older larger leaves had pressed up against three sides and began to yellow (assuming lack of light). I also raised their light about 2 inches. I had it 8 inches above my plant but as I can't seem to coax much vertical height out of this thing and it's trying to grow a flat bush. Not wanting to stretch it but I'd like to see it gain a few more inches before I make them flip. I am liking them stem thickness though.

Finally had time this weekend to work on everything. Filled my dwc system last night and had some small drips so I emptied it silicone sealed everything and let it sit to cure. Will fill again tonight and see if that has helped. Here are the seedlings as of this morning.

The big plant is doing OK still. I burned it just a little but so I flushed (light flush as it was light burn) with distilled water. PHere of Runoff was 6.4, previous reading was 7.0 last week. I'm also fairly positive it's suffering a magnesium deficiency. Purple stems among other things. I'm going to foliar feed using epsom salts during lights off then add some Mag-pro later this week once the soil has dried again. Roots are exploding out of the drain holes in the bottom and all are healthy white.

Here is a few photos of what I have going on. New growth is becoming light green from the base of the stem to the tips, others had previously showed signs of what I thought was nute burn (yellowing leaf tips pointing up on newer growth) but I haven't been feeding all that much mostly watering.20150908_213656.jpg20150908_213652.jpg

Sorry about the crappie photo quality on the last two pics however the lime green leaves have now returned to their nice natural green. Fed with 1/4 strength dyna gro grow half strength dyna gro protekt and half strength mag pro. Transplanted one of the babies into soil as my dwc system has some leaks I must figure out before putting anything in and it was time to get the seedlings out of the dome. 14 hrs later and baby is still perky. Maybe we won't see transplant shock?

Thanks fish! I was pretty excited I really didn't have high expectations. A new "indoor garden" supply store opened in town that I want to check out. I worked 80 hrs this week so I haven't been off work while they are open but I might get a half day off tomorrow to go check it out and get some goodies for an awesome flower cycle!
