Read it, get the make and model number and google it.

Im sorry but man your being quite lazy, do some research, decide how this can best be used for your room, make your Own opinions, noone can really say the best way to use if if they have never actually seen your grow room, whats in it, and whats needed.

I would use it as an exhaust fan to pull hot air out of the room from the highest point in the room. You will need an opening of some sort near the floor to allow fresh cool air to be pulled into the room (maybe several smaller openings from different sides of the room). Looks to be about 400 to 600 cfm.

thanks for the help... ummm yeah i've decided to go through the ceiling and vent into the attic. if were to set the fan on a timer to turn on every 15-20 minutes for 5mins would that be enough, and would the air scrubber keep up with the smell?

It probably pushes 500cfm or more, way more than you need right? Get a fan speed controller for it or just solder a 100-200ohm resistor in series with the power, a fat one like 5-10 amps.

You should have your fan running all the time to create negative pressure in your grow to keep the smell always going out your exhaust. You should also have a carbon filter on that. You could just build a diy carbon filter, one of the wood box ones, and have that fan pushing the air through the box carbon filter and out the attic.

i'll have my friend who's qualified look at the electrical side of things on that fan... it sure would be nice to have control over the air flow in the room with out having to get in the attic to adjust it... major props man.

yeah i've seen the vids on how to make a scrubber and i have few good ideas myself, they seem simple enough. but i'll still have a professional one the room... i have to be spotless on the smell... but i'll try finding the box one your talking about... thanks so much!

If your unable to control the speed of the fan my advise would be to play with the timer setting and observe the temps for at least two days prior to putting plants in the room. Add longer cycles closer together until the temp stays below 80 to 85 tops. YOU WILL NEED TO RUN YOUR LIGHTS WHILE TUNING IN your time cycles, and with the air being pulled from the room outside the the box you will need to make sure the outside room stays as clean as is inside the box. (dirty cloths, rubbage, ect.) Thanks for the rep....

yo MEDSi talked to my friend he knows exactly the control to use and how to install it... so it's gravy baby!
