the same thing hapened to me last week with mother's finest bean but from the missing sprout of one pot i conclude that i had thrown 2 beans on the same pot :p

give them more rooting space than normal

That's interesting, I just had the same thing happen with [fem] pineapple chunk. This strain must be exceptionally prone to twins.
Never seen it before, though I've only planted at most a couple dozen seeds.

Help! I am for sure a newbie and somthing crazy already happened. I bought seeds from attitude and they show up with the quickness props to attitude. One of my master kush seeds sprouted two plants. I used the water for 24 hours then paper towel method. also used store bought soil so I'm sure its a MK plant and not something else. Anyway here are some pics any advise on what to do would help alot.
HAHA that is awesome!! I think you have a genetic freak that you should celebrate rather than post in the problems section! I wish we could all have that "problem" it would make our grows so much better.

i know this post is kind of old but i did a google search and this is what came up so here i am, i bought sweet seeds big devil xl and did the 24hr water then damp napkin in plastic bag both cup of water and damp napkin contained ser thrive, all three popped but i noticed one had two roots coming out like the seed was trying to run. I planted them in my pete moss perlite blend and sprayed them with the st solution when the seed head came off i noticed two plants in the cup how neat is that.

when you see two plants come out of a pod it actually srouted two tails and ends up with two root system you can split em

theres always a 1st time for everything. in over 20 yrs growing herb, this is the 1st time it has happened to me, 2 plants from 1 seed just this week. i thought i had mistakenly put 2 seeds in the same pot but i knew i couldnt have. i had only 3 seeds to begin with & all sprouted in their respective pots but 1 pot produced 2 seedlings. i have been racking my brains on how it was possible that an extra seed got planted.

i separated the seedlings very carefully, put the extra seedling in its own pot ( 1st i soaked the pot with the 2 seeds. then i took care when i separated them, kept a clump of dirt on the seedling being moved, did it at dusk & watered well the new pot). both seedling are doing fine now & growing as should be.

the seeds are jack / 47 f1 fast version from sweet seeds. i honestly didnt think this was possible. if some one would have told me this story, i would have had a hard time to believing it. live & learn.

regards from the north of spain.

Thats pretty cool... Well nature can manipulate anything.. frogs simply can change sexes if the population of one is depleting. so 2 plants one seed I'm digging it..

I just did the same thing, samsara seeds from attitude, strain sweet black angel, same root, they connect. I noticed it as a double tail hanging out of the seed upon initial cracking, then I put in my cups of mix and two came to light. Also checked youtube only one result showing and kid does surgery on clone plug to show you roots on double seed. I'm going to keep both and lollipop maybe a little more then usual, I think roots will be fine, I'm looking at it as a plant topped early.

i had 2 jack / 47´s ( from sweet seeds ) sprout from 1 seed this yr, 1st time for me in about 20 yrs growing. you should separate them asap, 2 plants so close together will not do well. or kill 1 of them, a shame. i successfully separated mine very carefully when they were about your size. slide a knife between the 2 plants & pry apart very carefully when the soil is moist / wet. try to get a soil clump on the roots of the plant you will be transplanting. stress the roots / plant as little as possible, have a new pot for the seedling prepared before starting, transplant, water well & carry on as usual with your grow.

use a tea spoon to scoop up seedling very carefully & transplant.

mine rooted no problem & took off fine.

good luck

I've totally seen this before with a Kaboom seed from TGA/subcool. One of the sprouts dominated the other and the weaker one died.

Yes, two seedlings can grow from one seed, it’s called “polyembryonic” plants, apparently citrus plants are often like this, and marijuana can also have this phenomena occur…in fact, I am currently growing a two plant from one seed plant(s). One plant is over twice as tall as the other one. Never saw it before, thought maybe there as another seed that popped right beside it, but no seeds missing. Twins.
