one time cheap grow

i need help establishing a list of parts where i can do an effective cheap one time grow this winter.
Im using one or two 10 gallon or so buckets for two plants northern lights most likely.
aluminum foil for the siding of the area. im not sure of the dimensions, but about 2-4 x 2-6. so it could be narrow or wide but that doesnt really matter.

probably splurge on the LED, or go with a 400 watt light, just to have as a light i can keep and not dispose of after im done with the grow.
after all thats set up, all ill need is a inline fan and a carbon filter attached.
and a pH meter, and lemon juice
ive researched proper techniques for a long while and read up on these forums for ever, so i want to give it a go.
also i know northern lights is a relatively durable strain to work with, and its short and squatty so it should be pretty perfect in a small closet grow for two with simple conditions.

maybe for an extra boost i can pipe in some CO2, or make a DIY CO2 bubbler?
and instead of Northern lights, maybe i should do several more AutoFlowering strains? opinions?

Go with the 400 Watt HID light, you will get MUCH more Bang for your buck on a one time grow. a 120 CFM fan should be good for the one light. Veg the plants for 2 months then flower them.... make a Homemade Co2 Bucket. they work, even for a room as large as 4x5 (im currently running one in a 4x5x.

As far as strains go i would go for a large yeilding, Easy to grow strain, and grow 2 plants under the 400 Watt.
My choices:
1.Big Bud
2.Chronic
3.Hash Plant

Northern lights is a bit more Durable than the above strains, but if you take good care of teh listed strains they WILL yeild twice as much as the northern lights.

Auto-Flowering: IF you want to do auto i would use 75 Watts/Plant and plant in 2 Gallon Grow buckets. thats 4-5 plants under the 400 watt. the above method will have a higher yeild.

thanks alot for the info! i chose easy ryder from attitude, and ive got a 400w hps, but nothing else yet. im waiting on more money for a more upgraded grow. this is simply to supply the fiend.. unfortunately i havent musterd enough will power to save money by not smoking from time to time...
