Only using half of the room to grow, is it a problem?

Hi,

This is my 3rd grow but I'm getting rid of my grow tent. I was wondering if there were any negative effects of using a larger room to grow but only confining the space to half of what it is. Would the open space be a problem? Obviously there's no reflective material, but would supplementing the large room with CO2 be a waste, or should I stick to my grow tent?

Thanks guys.

First thought, there will be no plants in the other half that is a problem :) But more seriously, your cycle time with CO2 will be longer to fill to a desired CO2 Level. Seal the room you want to grow in and place your CO2 just in that room. But make sure u can move the heat from room... If you had a grow tent I doubt u had a CO2 burner so it will take longer and be less stable with just tank and regulator. So I would divide the room and use the other half as a work room for the grow.. Maybe start a veg/ clone room in there.. If your worried about power simply get a bunch of T5 for veg to get them started so when u place under the HID you only need a week or so :) Nothing is ever set in stone so go with the flow-try a few ideas out! Good luck
