oooh that smell... unknown seeds first grow Will the stink subside any? as it dries

this is my first post... but i have been a lurker for a long while
After alot of reading and research i decided to do my first real grow attemp with 2 seeds i acquired.
1 - purple kush? (the weed was purple tight buds and tasted like hash) found one seed
1 - ? what ever it was it was very frosty and had an amazing high. found that one too

i made a grow box from a cheap end-table style cabinet
purchased a 100w light house ufo light
organic soil, etc.

Back to the reason I was posting... I just harvested my ladies and boy do they smell OMG
They smell Like Grape Lemon lime ether mixed with blue cheese. keep in mind i have both plante drying together so the stink has blended ( my wife is not happy) lol
Will the stink subside any? as it dries

I'll post some pictures later I have some awesome shot of buds under the led lights they look magical
also some interesting observations going from CFL to led lights I really need to get my grow journal finished

Once you buck them and get them into jars to finish curing you should be good to go... but they will only smell better, and better... and better....

Please do post some pics. Did you notice whether they smoked more like indicas, or sativas, or a mix? Heady or body high?

the smell is changing i am getting sour grassy notes with the grape and cheese mmmm cheese

i did quick dry some of the very immature buds(still stinky as hell) and wow they were smooth and what a head buzz. i played my guitar for about 2 hours...oh crap it's almost midnight.... keep in mind i think i harvested a little early but i was going for a high thc content

Get an ONA block or tub of ONA gel-- put it just outside the drying area... it will help with the odor-- but it won't subside-- hang them til almost crispy- then cut off the stems and put them in airtight mason jars (only 1/2 full!) overnight... open and see how dry/damp they are...
either add a piece of lettuce if too dry- or leave them open and lay them on their sidxe to let them dry more.... once they are 'perfect" seal them up- but air out the bud daily for a few minutes to "cure" them... as it dries and cures, the smell will change and mellow-out a bit. And if sealed in Mason Jars- they don't smell until you open them!

nice dude looks really dank. What kind of weights are you estimating?

i kept the plants pretty small (bonsai style) i'll bet i get a little over an ounce dried. which is fine i'm just growing for my own cosumption. I already have 4 clones vegging for the next round

I fill my jars almost to the top. Are you worried about mold or something?

How long were these flowering for? It looks like they needed a bit longer to fill out. They look good, just a bit premature from here.

i pulled them at ten weeks. and yes i think it was early too oh well too late now

10 weeks of 12/12? Or 10 weeks from first pistils?

That may be part of it, going from pistils gives you a better idea. You're only growing for yourself anyways, so it being a bit light won't be the end of things. Definitely a good first run though.

and thanks to everyone on rollitup if it wasn't for the bud porn in the grow journals, others asking questions and the answers of the knowledgable growers Im not sure i would had the confidence to do it

Yeah any amount for a first time grow is great man. I'm doing my first grow also under 200W CLW Solarfare LED. They are currently in day 24 of 12/12. After seeing yours gives me more confidence ill actually get some bud to smoke lol.

i am loving the little buds i just smoked a purple one ...really sparkly and tasted like hash....mmmmmm cant wait to get the rest cured
