Kosher cake and Green crack getting some sunshine. These two are taking the longest and probs have a good 4+ weeks to go. Hoping the weather holds out.

I’m very impressed by the bud production on the kosher cake tho. Keen to try another seed just to make sure this one isn’t a fluke

My bubbahaze did through a few nanners as well. Could a Mephisto trait lol

They are some hot temps! Nice to see your plants aren’t suffering from it tho!

I’ve just stage harvested the tops of the mimosa cake and purple punch. Mimosa could’ve gone a tad longer but I’m in awkward patch for drying and only have this week to do it for the foreseeable future. Kosher cake and green crack have a good month or so left to mature

It's amazing that breeders can get these buds to smell and look this good, and still be plenty potent. It really adds some dimensions to choosing strains.

Beautiful plants! You've got cocktails and cakes, sounds like a party :)

I'll be taking the main top branches off of my Green Crack tomorrow morning, that puts its initial harvest around the middle of my group. I'm not sure which one will go the longest, but they should all be done soon enough.

Deffo man! We’re spoilt for choice!
I do like my fruity cake strains lol

I find the natural yeast in my area produce very nice cake tones in my bud as well

So I guess the indoor plants are roughly the same speed as outdoor?

I tend to do two stage harvests indoors and out, so each plant has two cut days... but overall, averaging it out, the simple answer is (just looking at last year's numbers) that outdoor seems to take 90-100 days to fully finish, and indoor takes more like 80-85 days.

I attribute the faster indoor times to the more consistent warmth having the lights on for 19 hours and not having it get as cool overnight. My outdoor plants get less direct sunlight than yours do, I'd be curious to know if that has more impact on your plants finish times than the cooler weather you have? I don't know which has more impact. Maybe they cancel each other out.

So far 3 of 4 that went out later have been fully or partially cut, 1 of 4 of the ones that went our earlier is partially cut, one was ended because it hermied (but was not nearly ready yet). There seems to be a tendency for the ones that were kept indoors in closer to optimal conditions for an extra two weeks to be finishing more quickly. That's just observation, not science, but I think it makes sense and tracks with last years indoor/outdoor finish times.

I'm getting some varied bud structures this run, below are some samples. The Brooklyn Sunrise (Dutch Passion) is showing some similar issues to what @PioneerValleyOG was seeing on one of his plants, with newer smooth green leaves growing from the buds. Overall they don't seem ready to me, not from a trichome standpoint or just that sense you get when they're ready. I was guessing that the issue was from heat stress combined with possibly over-feeding, prompting the buds to generate new leaf growth. I could be wrong.

Overall this year has been a mix of good and bad. I'm losing fewer plants to mold (so far) than last year, so that's good. But the ones I've taken down already -- in part or in whole -- after being dried have weighed in disappointingly light. I seem to be repeating last years findings, which is that I get more weight from a plant in an indoor grow than I do in an outdoor. That's unexpected for me, maybe because I started with photos and outdoors they got huge.

Edit: also, when I first started growing autos outdoors it was in the ground, and they were substantially bigger. Now that I grow outdoors in pots, I guess it's more a "gallon for gallon" of potted soil, that I am getting more harvest from indoor plants. Maybe it's just me.

I appreciate it my highs were in the 40s to 50s I'd bring them in at 36 or 37 degrees. My winter months are January and February its already been 102° lol summer temps 120° just throwing that out there incase someone maybe on edge about cooler temps and growing. Good information tho again appreciate it

Do you shade plants at all? I'm up North and the summer's here can get pretty hot but nothing like you deal with. Here humidity is a big problem most years.

Harvesting the green crack and kosher cake later today. Due rain for the next 10 days + high humidity in between.

Kosher cake is the most mould prone strain I’ve grown outdoors. Shame as it seems to be very cold hardy. Had to remove 20-30 buds just now.

Green crack has held up well. Buds are on the small side as doesn’t like the cold. Nice and frosty tho and smells fantastic! Like mango sweets

Bit yellow but was away during a heatwave and they got a bit dry. It’s the morning dew now which gives them rot.

Was fun but think I’ll try to start earlier next year just to get a better harvest.

Till next year :)

Good to see you got a decent harvest from the season. My Green Crack also smelled good, first time I've ever grown it and based on reading that it was basically a variation on Skunk genetics, I did not expect it to smell as sweet as it does.

The thing that really gave me a leg up on this summer, was starting them indoors and putting them out when the weather was ready for them. I highly recommend it, if you have the ability. Aside from that, an earlier start seems to be the better compromise. Sure, you risk stunting them with a colder beginning, but it's all about the finish, so anything we can do to optimize the end conditions is my priority. Basically, I'd rather have a smaller plant that goes the distance than a bigger one I'm losing half of to mold... if I have the choice.

All I have left are three "bottoms", the top colas have been cut and are hanging but the lower buds needed more time. The Sam Stomper still has significant "meat on the bones", the other two might be more trouble (in terms of trim time) than they're worth. I'll wait until I see amber, or mold, or get bored waiting, and then I'll take them down. It's just adding water at this point, so it's not a big deal to let them continue.

This season was better than last in terms of almost no mold (only one plant had any). So the changes I made seem to have paid off.

Here's a picture of what's left in the hoophouse, you can see that the Sam Stomper on the right still has weight on it. That's the one I'm keeping an eye on --

So now I've got my system down: Start them in the garage and hold them in there until the weather looks good. Keep them in smaller pots I can move easily, and let the dry mostly before watering again. It's all good.

That said, I'm pretty sure this was my last outdoor. Lots of reasons for that, but it's been fun, and I'm done.

If you’re looking for pain relief this Kosher cake is one of the best I’ve tried!

Buggered my sciatica today lifting a new toilet! Old injury that flares up and this has dulled the pain tremendously! 10/10 pain down to 6/10. Taken that sharp edge off.

Oh and the purple punch is trippy ass weed. Just get completely scrambled (but in a good way). Haven’t a smoke like it in a while, would recommend as well :)

Took me 10 mins to set up a PlayStation game lol

That sucks about your sciatica, I hope it gets better soon. I'm playing around with CBD now, mixing with THC, trying to find the balance that speaks to my issues. Bottom line, when you find a plant with the right combination of cannabinoids, that's the one you go to!

Ummmm, your harvesting these plants? Please don't take this as an insult, but these plants are far from harvest. Imho. Maybe there's something I'm not seeing?
