I always germinate indoors at this point, I find that a consistently warm environment gives them the strongest beginning.
It's their 3rd day outside, now fully hardened, and they survived their first test of fire -- temps got up to around 106º. Only one couldn't handle it and I had to move it out of the "hot-house" and into a shady area. This is what they looked like at the hottest part of the day, all slightly leaning into the sun, and it looks to me like they're handling it pretty well.
While I'm testing this new structure I think I'm going to grow most of them in pots. My preference is to put them all in the ground, but I might need more flexibility this year.
