Hi Guys - I have decided to go ahead and open a dispensary in Toronto as I am tried of waiting for my LP application to be processed. I was wondering if any of you had advice or suggestions that you were willing to offer up. Anything is appreciated
Whatever you do, don't set up in the Church Wellesley area as they are flooded with at least 5 dispensaries within 10 minutes of walking distance to each other. Two are actually on the same floor with no accessibility and right beside each other. It would be fantastic if you could set up shop in the St Lawrence market area. Nothing there, and a lot of disabled people. Even Barbara Turnball, who was made famous unfortunately when she was shot at Becker's convenience store as a teen and left paralyzed lives in the area still. See her all the time at the market, in her chair with her service dog. She's now a reporter with the Toronto Star. Or at least I think she is still a reporter. Anyway, the St Lawrence market is full of folks with disabilities, in scooters and chairs, which on a charge is hard to make it up to Church and Wells. CALM did fantastic financially when they were on Queen st east, and were the only ones in the downtown core below Dundas. They aren't there anymore. King or Front st would be fantastic. There is large senior as well as disabled community down here, and if your prices are compassionate, I'd be happy to pinch clients from one place in particular that's been stuck in my craw for years, especially after all the work I did for them (meaning HIM). And if you need someone who has a cannabis library in their head and literally, if medicated properly, I could work for you. I'd be happy to scout some places for you in this area if you like. I've seen several store fronts in the area up for lease.
